That was me and I'm definitely not him. I certainly wasn't defensive (I wouldn't defend him because he rubs me the wrong way), though I think putting "jeweler" in quotes was done to belittle what they seemed like they thought his job was (perhaps a salesman in the store), which I think is rude. But anyways. That was based on my opinion of the store website and what it says about him on his resume. His resume is impressive. IMO: Anyone who is going to Belgium to buy loose diamonds for their clients without the client even seeing them must be pretty well respected and trusted. The jewelry store seems pretty high end and he owns or is affiliated with other stores apparently.

My mistake lol.

yeah I've never heard of it either but I'm in Canada

For what it's worth, that particular post stuck with me too. I spoke with someone who is an engineer and has decades of experience working at plants all over the country. He said there's been no such rule at any plant he's worked at. He said it was actually the opposite, since men in pickups would back into spaces and hit the fence behind them, costing the plants a lot of money. So who knows. Could go either way depending on the plant.

Regarding parking....

Many thief are opportunists. We have people who go around every night looking for unlocked cars. Any car left unlocked is ransacked for wallets and anything which can be sold. You'd be surprised by how many people leave money and laptops and stuff. Those people found in it may have just been looking for valuables. Also, her personal items could have been stolen by someone unrelated to her disappearance. Police should offer immunity in exchange for their return just in case.

Crystal probably had a lot in her car. My relative who sells real estate always has snacks, signs, papers and a change of clothes and shoes. Agents live in their cars some days. Would be interesting to see what was left when police got to it

interesting ... hadn't heard that before

The liar's number theory isn't based on provable science (I don't think), but after I heard about it I started to pay attention to stories that sounded a little weird and ended up being fake. I just find it really interesting both in personally dealing with a liar and in stories from the news.

My ex lies like it is his full time job (and business is good)... three is a very common theme in his ridiculous stories. One time he was a no show for visitation again, and when it was brought up in court at our next hearing, he told the Judge that three of the tires on his truck flew off when he was driving in the 3rd lane of a 4 lane highway. A police car stopped and three officers got out to help him. It took them from 5-8pm (3 hours) to collect them all from the lanes of the freeway and put them back on. Lies. Dumb ones at that! The judge laughed so hard. She asked the deputy in the room if cops routinely travel in packs of 3.

From stories in the media Charlie Rogers and her fake hate crime is a prime example ... three men broke in and tied her up, then carved horrible things into her skin and then tried to burn her house down. Lies.

My mistake lol.
Haha you aren't the first one who thought the post was from him. I assume it's either been deleted or it's so far back that it'd be ridiculous to try to find it.

Doesn't seem like they have found anything so far.

If this was already posted, I apologize.

Is the area for Friday's search the same as yesterday's and today's searches? I wonder what led them there.

...David White, the search coordinator, said they had about 50 people participating in the search. He advised for people to look on their website at www.texasequusearch.org for updates on any future searches.

White was asked if they had found anything.

“Nothing that we can talk about,” White said. “We haven’t found her.”

I did look at these reviews a few days ago but I don't recall seeing the review from Crystal on August 12th. Has it been on there or was it most recently added?

...Texas Equusearch had performed a search Friday when it was discovered a cell phone ping from Crystal McDowell’s smartphone was coming from a three-mile radius around a Baytown parks service center. Nothing was found, but Hawthorne said the search organization had been brought back in at his request.

“They are doing some things for me right now,” Hawthorne said.

According to Texas Equusearch’s Facebook page, they began looking near Cedar Port Industrial Park near Highway 99 Wednesday evening.

I didn't see those posts but I remember a while back, in the first thread when details were just starting to come out, someone called him a "jeweler" or something and another person responded defensively saying he was NOT a jeweler, but a highly respected gemologist or whatever, which is also what he writes about himself on the website and etc.. I thought that was kinda weird. He seems pretty tech savvy so I wouldn't be surprised if he's been here.

"Hairplugs and all."

If you go to the bottom there is place where you can click to view the reviews that aren't recommended. Hers is there.

I've defended the ex a lot and I think he's totally innocent in this, but I can't help but wonder if he paid for some positive reviews. lol. Or perhaps it's just a Yelp problem. The city/states are highly suspect. Especially since you see the same towns repeated over and over again with none of the reviewers seeming to have any relation to each other. Very weird.

But that's just one of the many reasons I don't trust Yelp. You also have to remember that people are more likely to leave a bad review than a good one.

The family went through the car before they called police about finding it. So that could have contaminated evidence.

Surely LE has investigated surveillance videos along the road in the area near the motel. Aren't there cameras at stoplights and from various stores, banks, gas stations etc? Wouldn't that be one of the first things they would look at? From where the car came, who was in it etc.

A street camera saw Ying ying get into a car on that fateful day.

We've heard nothing about that....but hopefully they have some info on that. Did Crystal drive it, or someone else???

...Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne said investigators are examining surveillance video at the Motel 6 at Interstate 10 and Highway 146 where McDowell’s black Mercedes Class-C was later found as Harvey’s floodwaters were rising.

“The Motel 6 video is very inadequate,” Hawthorne said. “We are scouring hours of video. The time frame is so big. We essentially have to watch three days worth of video from each camera (from area businesses). One business may have four cameras to watch, it is taking hours to look through them. I have about a third of my team doing nothing but watching videos.”

Divorce was relatively new so depends if she changed everything over to kids from ex I'm sure.

I am still reeling from the each chose a kid thing. I can't wrap my head around it.

J.M.O.

An ex spouse is automatically excluded upon divorce unless a will exists which explicitly states that a bequest to the now ex-spouse remains upon divorce. Otherwise things automatically will pass as if the ex-spouse does not exist
