I have no doubt that she was targeted. But they are saying for a robbery, that is why I am wondering what could she have had that was worth paying someone $500? Something seems a bit off and why didn't LE mention the robbery to begin with?

I'm thinking the driver was TOLD it would be a robbery so she would agree to be the driver, but that it never was a robbery but a planned murder. I don't know what the killer took, if anything, but money was left in the car. If Dr. Hatcher's purse was stolen, I think it was just a cover for the intended crime, which is murder.

Perhaps the words exchanged that the witness heard were, "Gimme your purse." Again, I think this was just to show her purse was missing and make it look like a robbery.

JMO with what we know now.

Maybe the killer stole her belongings to make it look like a robbery? Or maybe he stole her purse because it contained her ID to prove he got the right target?

Kendra's family stated early on they thought she was murdered by an "ex-boyfriend." There is a damn good reason they said that. It was specific. There is a very good chance that this unknown male is that person.

If he was such a professional hit man, why shoot her in a garage where there are so many cameras? Why not follow her out to the street and shoot with no cams around?

As far as we know, there were no cameras in the area where she was shot. (Not sure it was a professional hit man as much as an experienced criminal and/or marksman.) And, as far as we know, the shooter himself is not on film, just the driver.

Maybe she moved from Illinois to Dallas to get away from her ex-boyfriend?

I agree entirely. It's far easier to get someone to agree to be a driver for a simple robbery for $500. It would explain why Cortez came forward. She hadn't signed up for murder.

Not where she was shot but they have video of every car and driver that enters and exits. So they got the driver arrested pretty quickly. Even without the shooter on film, they have the driver. She will not want to take the fall for this by herself. { IF there was even a second person in the car}

NBCnews.com
"Cortez "admitted her involvement in the murder and has given detectives information that other unidentified suspects may have been involved," the statement added."
Oh, I know that's what she told LE, but do they believe her? And has she identified the other suspect(s)? If so, we should be hearing that a search is on for them, or a request for information about their whereabouts. Or, another arrest. Maybe we'll get an update soon.

But who would believe a robber was going to pay 500 bucks upfront for a simple robbery? He wasn't robbing a diamond dealer or a casino. He was robbing a dentist leaving her office after work. What was she supposed to have that would pay off so well?

I don't buy that CC would have believed it was just a robbery. JMO

I just pursued Crystal's Facebook page. What a tasteless, classless and disgusting display. Good grief.

I agree with you. Her "story" makes no sense. Has LE confirmed that it was a robbery or just that she told them that was the intention? This is kinda important because if nothing was stolen than no robbery took place and it was just a murder....not robbery and murder. I

I read nowhere that they exchanged words, but may have missed it. All I saw was that the shooter got in her face, presumably to shoot her.

IMO, When you're the likes of a CC and you're offered a quick $500, you don't ask questions. You just drive.

I think so. I find it odd that the affidavit describes the other suspects as "an unnamed individual" and "an unknown male suspect." Could the "unnamed individual" be a woman? Why not say "unnamed male."?

That's exactly what I was thinking. And if items were taken from her body, it might have been jewelry that wasn't returned post breakup.
