No updates? What is going on with BD? Do they know where she is? And what about the other 2...the shooter and the driver? No hearings or anything?

She is in Mexico. Because she is a Mexican citizen it is very hard to get her extradited.
It might take years (if ever). In my opinion she should have been arrested right from the start (or at least watched).

I still can't believe there hasn't been movement in this case, in tracking BD. I'm praying for closure soon for Kendra's family.

They know exactly where BD is. She is in Mexico. They can't get her out of there because she is a Mexican citizen.

May need some good ole west Texas justice here, like Shades of the Old West. Like back in the 1980's when Mexican national Refugio Gonzalez raped a women in Terlingua, sheriff chased but he made it across the river and ended up in jail in Ojinuga Mexico. Three bounty hunters went there overpowered the guard, took Gonzalez, brought him back to Texas. Then the sheriff got an anonymous call that there was a man stripped down blind folded and tided to a tree in the park. The sheriff had his man in custody in Texas!

Good old days.

Just came to see if there was anything new...can't believe they let BD get out of the country! Can they not do anything with the other two until they have her? What a shame if all 3 of them get away with this senseless murder!

The other two are in custody. They don't need BD to try them. As both of them seem to have at least partially confessed, I don't see why BD would be necessary to put the other two on trial.

Mexico and the U.S. have an extradition treaty, but if the death penalty is not taken off the table, Mexico is likely to refuse to extradite anyone, regardless of their citizenship. Texas has to be willing to do that.

Article 8 of the 1979 Extradition Treaty Between the United States of America and the United Mexican States, 31 U.S.T. 5059, T.I.A.S. No. 9656, provides that Mexico may refuse extradition to the United States unless the requesting party provides assurances that the death penalty shall not be imposed.

Even without the death penalty, extradition is an extremely time consuming and complex process. I'm not sure they have enough proof to bring BD back, unfortunately. Reading the explanation linked below it's clear that all the hoops local LE has to jump through are difficult, including running it all by the DOJ before even sending the extradition request to Mexico. Once it is received by Mexico, it goes through more legal processes, and so the whole thing can take years. I'll post this again for any who missed it when I posted it before. Read it and weep.

We can only hope that in the meantime BD is having to look over her shoulder at every turn wondering when they're gonna come calling. I suppose there is some (albeit very little) satisfaction in that.

I've also read Mexico considers life in prison without chance of parole to be "cruel" and they won't extradite unless that is taken off the table, in addition to the death penalty. *sigh*

Hopefully BD will be arrested soon. This case is so sad, as Kendra was all goodness and light, and this evil, jealous girl took that away.

The FBI will hold a press conference tomorrow. Sources say they will announce Brenda Delgado's name will be added to the 10 most wanted list

I'm so glad to hear this. Hope we will see a new mugshot of BD soon, once she is captured for this.

I found myself thinking about Kendra lately. I am a patient at the dental clinic she was working at, and they are the sweetest people around and try to keep her memory alive. Dr. Hatcher touched so many lives in such a positive way and I hope justice is served soon.

Does this mean they have more resources or more cooperation from Mexico?

A Dallas woman wanted for arranging the murder of a dentist who was dating her ex-boyfriend has been added to the FBI’s Most Wanted list.

In Dallas last November, we asked the Mexican Consul General Sergio Hayakawa why Delgado had not been arrested.

"I don't know why she hasn't been arrested. I don't know if they know exactly where she is at," he said.

The FBI is now in charge of the case and working with Mexican authorities to bring her in.

"Between Mexico and U.S. we have a lot of international cooperation in these cases," Consul General Hayakawa said.

The Mexican Consulate tells WFAA there is an Interpol warrant for Delgado, so it's up to U.S. federal authorities working with Mexican police to arrest her. But returning her to Dallas may not be easy.

It's complicated by the fact that Delgado was born in Mexico and is a naturalized U.S. citizen, which means Mexico considers her a citizen and won't extradite her unless there is an agreement in place saying prosecutors won't seek the death penalty.

Hayakawa says,"Because our constitution doesn't have the capital murder or death penalty, our government asks for the U.S. government put in writing that they are not looking for the death penalty," Hayakawa said.

The $100,000 reward ought to tempt someone with information! I hope her mother gets her wish...soon.

Hatcher's mother, Bonnie, pleads for help in getting her daughter justice.
"She was just one amazing little gal, let me tell you. She'd give the shirt off of her back to anybody," Bonnie Hatcher said. "The only thing that I want is Delgado back and her to serve justice. That is the only thing that I think about."

Kendra's Mom is in the video.

I think it means Texas doesn't really know where she is and probably never has known. I suspected this all along.
