Houston nightclub responds to father's allegations into Felicia Johnson's disappearance
The Cover Girl nightclub on Thursday reassured it's still cooperating with Houston police in the Felicia Johnson investigation.

Felicia's father, Kevin, has said details from Houston police have been scarce and he feels like he's in the same position he was in when he arrived from California to Houston nearly two weeks ago.

I have yet to be provided with any information as it relates to her last known whereabouts which I believe to be the Cover Girl nightclub," he said during a rally Thursday in front of City Hall. "Nor have I at this time been provided with any pertinent information as it relates to the surveillance footage at the Cover Girl nightclub that can easily confirm or deny Felicia's identity."

The club's attorney released a statement Thursday, reassuring the club is still working with the Houston Police Department in the search for Felicia and denied any involvement in her disappearance.

Full letter and more info at link. Sounds like the family doesn’t actually know if they have surveillance video of Felicia, or not.

I stand on what I said a few days ago..I believe the police know a whole lot more than they’re sharing.

i dont think they have said that. the suspects in the 3 other cases were all arrested. i think they are more alluding to LE doesnt take crime towards women of color seriously and places them at higher risk.

I know any and all answers would be opinion/speculative. Just trying to get ahead here and think what her plan would be (and backup plan).

I question where that info came from as well.
Her family, the PI, the activist, LE, the club?

I’m also confused on how the family knows the Uber was taking too long and that a man from the club offered her a ride?
If the family didn’t talk to her afterwards, who is the source?

ETA: I’m not saying I don’t believe any of it; I’m honestly just curious & a bit confused.

Her father has spoken with a few people in the media as well as YouTube and FB. He explained that a front clerk told them she didn’t get the job and that she left with a patron because the Uber was taking too long. He also stated that they haven’t allowed him to view footage to see if that’s her. Today’s update stated that there’s NO FOOTAGE of her while at the club. This is puzzling to me. If she interviewed, and waited for a ride, how’s there NO FOOTAGE.

I, too, have been confused about from whom all the information is coming and what is factual.

Casey Wallace, attorney for the nightclub, says their surveillance video has been turned over to Houston Police.

“The very day they requested it, they got it,” said Wallace.

The attorney says while he isn't sure what employees told Felicia's father, he's seen the video from the night in question.

“What I can tell you, we do not have any evidence that this woman was either in the club, or that she applied for a job, or that she left with somebody,” said Wallace.

Wallace said the day after they handed over the video, they discovered additional video of a woman being turned down for a job on a different date. The identity of that woman is not known.

“She asked for a job, was respectfully declined, turned around and left. We gave that to the Houston Police Department,” said Wallace.

What? Now it seems that there is really no evidence of her being there at all? This is not good
 
I first started questioning if she was ever at the club earlier this week and think I even posted about it here.

It seemed too obvious that LE had more information they weren’t sharing. Moreover, if she were actually at the club and seen on video or by a witness, SOMEONE would have a description of what she was last wearing.

A lot of info from family and Quannel X - who for whatever reason was absent from the city hall appearance yesterday - with no confirmation and/or additional information / details from LE is very telling, IMO.

I don’t like the turn this is taking.

So it’s a likely possibility the employee was confused and thought it was Felicia that was at the club and turned down.

Was Felicia working somewhere on a regular basis back at home in CA? Or did she abrupt quit? Give up her place to stay?
Or was she living with her father?

Knowing what she planned to do and what her actions were before she left home might yield some clues.

Nothing from friends, coworkers?
Did her family in Houston ever see her?
Is there confirmation from the hotel, cctv showing her actually there?

According to her father, she traveled only to celebrate her birthday and was looking to make additional income while visiting. He couldn’t confirm the plans to move but wasn’t aware that she was planning to move. He also stated that she does hair, model and dance. I noticed she also has onlyfans.

She had already celebrated her birthday in CA.

Why was she coming to Houston?

•According to the club, the hostess and manager that were working the night Felicia disappeared are not even sure she was there.

•According to her family, Felicia applied for a job at the club but was turned down.
•According to the club, there is no record she applied for a job, no paperwork.

•According to her family, she was offered a ride from a man at the club.
•Again, the club states they’re unsure she was ever there.

•According to family, surveillance video needs to be handed over from the club.
•According to the club, they have already done so.


•Houston PD has NOT confirmed these reports
(Felicia at club, applying for job, called Uber, caught a ride w/ a man, bloody cell phone found)
•However, Houston PD has confirmed it is an active case.

She was spotted leaving the establishment at around 1:30 a.m. to wait for an Uber. However, her family believes that Felicia got into a different car.

(I’m assuming by authorities they mean Private Investigators?)

“The phone was like someone threw it out the window, and it had specks of blood that I think came from her finger during the struggle,” Kevin said.

“We are the national hub of sex trafficking,” Flores said of Houston, adding that they suspect Felicia was a victim of the malicious crime.
 
Different versions of the condition of her phone which was found:

“covered in blood”
“Bloody”
“Blood covered”
“A few specks of blood”

I haven’t seen a picture of the phone in any articles?

Has the blood been tested to see if it is hers?
