A witness said she saw a woman carrying an infant with a knit cap get into the car, according to the affidavit. The witness said there wasn’t enough time for the woman carrying the baby to properly restrain her in the car before it left the parking lot, the affidavit said.

Who do we think was the one in the knit cap carrying the baby? MF? Heidi? Someone else?

Woman charged with kidnapping Austin mom and baby pretended child was her own

The document said Fieramusca acted suspiciously soon after Margot was born at the hospital in Austin, and that Margot’s grandfather noted that she interrupted his first meeting with his granddaughter, asking to hold the baby first.

just so creepy for her to intrude on Mr. Broussard’s first meeting with Margo. I assume she wanted to “bond”. Sick

Unsealed affidavit reveals what may have happened to Heidi Broussard before her death

On Dec. 19, officials searched the home where Fieramusca was living in, according to the affidavit. When investigators arrived, they reportedly smelled the "unmistakable odor of decomposing flesh" emitting from the trunk of a vehicle parked at the house.

The body was later reported to be that of Broussard's. According to the affidavit, the body was shoved into a black duffel bag.

"Magen Fieramusca abducted Heidi Broussard by restraining her and preventing her liberation by holding her in a place where she was not likely to be found; specifically inside a black duffel bag in the trunk of a parked vehicle," police said in the affidavit.

Sounds like it was Heidi, and MF was the one driving.

"Police say Fieramusca's ex-boyfriend lived with her at the home on Bo Jack Drive and believed himself to be the father of her child. He told investigators he noticed her belly growing over time and that it felt "hard."

However, he told investigators he never saw her bare stomach as their current relationship “did not lend itself to seeing her in stages of undress" after having broken up in March.

Texas Rangers found the ex-boyfriend buying baby formula on December 19th, the affidavit states, and showed him a flyer with a photo of Margo Carey, to which he replied "that's the baby in my house."

Fieramusca told Texas Rangers she went to the beach with a cousin on December 12th and told her ex-boyfriend she gave birth at a birthing center in The Woodlands, according to court papers, but could not recall the name of the birthing center."

Just catching up. So I'm still a bit confused what led LE to MF? It sounds like MF's car "matched" the one the neighbor saw, but were there enough to details to actually pinpoint the car to lead them to MF? (Or did her car just match the neighbor's observation once they knew to look at MF?)

It sounds like LE was already observing/had CG under surveillance when he told them, "That's the baby at my house" when LE showed him the flyer. But not that he had contacted them first.

Was it MF's odd behavior at Margo's birth observed by SC and his father that made LE take a closer look at MF? What prompted them to start watching her, is it clear?

ETA: It sounds like SC may have pointed them in that direction, just from MF living with Heidi up until the end of November, having a key to the apartment they never got back, and being present and acting weird at the birth? And Heidi telling him MF had just had a baby whose photos he had never seen....
On Dec. 18, LE interviewed a woman who lives at the apts who said she saw two women interacting and that one of them was carrying a baby. They did a line-up and she was pretty sure (60 or 70%, IIRC) one of the women was MF.

They also had video from a resident that captured MF's car at the complex.

They started investigating MF which included getting a SW for her internet search history. She searched for “bodies found in Austin, Texas” and recently deleted her FB account.

They noticed her car was parked as if she was trying to hide it.

On Dec 19, CG went to Target for baby formula and when LE questioned him there and showed him the flyer with MC's photo on it, he told them that was the baby in his home. MOO

According to the witness, MF was in the front passenger seat.

"With Fieramusca behind bars, authorities are trying to determine where Broussard was killed and who killed her. The neighbor who saw the women together near Broussard’s apartment raised suspicion that a second person could have been involved, noting in her interview with police that Fieramusca was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle that Broussard and Margot entered from the back. The affidavit did not mention who was driving."

But @MassGuy what about this?

That is curious, but it’s possible that the witness was mistaken. I’m definitely open to the possibility of another person being involved though.

In any event, it looks like Heidi did willingly enter that car.

It still doesn’t make a hell of a lot of sense, because where did she think they were going?

Or did she climb in to have a conversation, and the car started moving? It’s just weird.

So bizarre - I still don't see any of that at that link. I think the news sites are gaslighting us.

I think it was Baby Margo wearing the knit cap, not the woman carrying her.
