Court will adjourn at noon today because a juror's mother died.
#
Defense asks for mistrial. Denied.
#
Some guns that belonged to Kaufman County that were tested because they could have matched the murder weapon.
#
The state will reopen its case before the jury to reduce the number of firearms admitted (as evidence) Now, it stands at 64.
#
These were the guns displayed for the jury. Take away 13 from this. http://t.co/zQWulR8fgn

Do you know when the trial will resume? The noon news just said the trial would resume next week, but not the day. With one of the jurors having to plan & attend a funeral it seems to me that it might be several days.

Resuming next week

#EricWillamsTrial Judge Mike Snipes warns defense lawyers to avoid repetition. Defense gets Monday to finish @NBCDFW http://t.co/hj6AbzsFSQ

Monday - Defense finishes. Tuesday - Rebuttal (if any) and 1 hour each for arguments. He (highly) suggested rebuttal would be done by 3 Tuesday and arguments would be heard that day. Figure we'll have decision by Wednesday end of day.

Been watching this case and am absolutely stunned at what the defense is doing here and no matter how much the judge warns them they continue on this path with witness after witness that knew this murderer 30 years ago...the jury is not dumb...people can and do change and the defense attys are just wasting the court's time with all of this. The judge cannot hide his contempt for the defense team (one in particular that he told to stop talking today as he was not the lead). Watching the judge's facial expressions during this arduous testimony is priceless and I'm sure the jury sees it. They take their cues from him and no doubt realize that none of this should make a bit of difference is their recommendation on sentence. The defense actually thinks that if these long lost high school chums say they "might" visit him in prison that should = no death penalty. I am not for the dp but if a state has it then I think Eric Williams is the perfect candidate and hope they give it to him. He can not even lift his head up in court...he seems like he could kill right now if you game him one of his thousands of guns.

Yes, it's apparent that the judge is not a happy man. There's no doubt that Eric Williams would only have a longer hit list if he were somehow able to escape from prison or contract with someone else to do his killing from his prison cell. I'm not a fan of the death penalty either but Williams is clearly a menace to society. He either needs to be executed or gagged & chained to a dungeon wall so that he can have no contact with the outside world. Anything else would be folly.

Glad they caught it!! Defense doesn't need any wiggle room.

Wow...just watched witness Tammy who seems to be carrying a torch for Eric...so much so she proclaims his innocence. There is no question she was lying on the stand...had talked about what to say last week with him and gave him quite a look on her way out. She was really a pathetic soul who seems to have no life.

I would sure like to see Williams' discharge papers from the US Army in the 1990's a few days after he was commissioned as an Army officer. They said they didn't need him. I'll bet they ran a psychological profile on him and did not want to put up with this screwball.

Is there any way law enforcement or attorneys can see those records? Or, are they sealed forever? A psychological profile on him would probably be a scary read.

You know 55-65 guns in an arsenal is an exceptionally large cache of weapons. This smells to high heaven if it is an arsenal for just one man. I suspect that this is an armory for a whole platoon. I've always suspected that more people than just the Williams couple were involved in the murders.

Why? Who else would be involved? Were McLelland & Hasse that controversial? Not being from the area I don't understand. If I were a local, I think I would have a better idea of what the heck was going on.

My name is *advertiser censored*. My nephew in law lived four houses down from the defendant eight years ago. He said Eric Williams waved at him once.

give me strength.....

Both #EricWillamsTrial witness sisters say Williams' wife Kim was money hungry, never worked @NBCDFW http://t.co/eG4PUYTgaF

Via @dallascourts

Now testifying: Kaufman atty Mark Calabria.
#
Williams worked at the law firm Calabria runs with his wife after Williams graduated from law school.
#
Says Williams got along well with others as atty and when he was a court coordinator.
#
Calabria on Williams' demeanor "That's a fair description, a nerd a geek" rather than withdrawn. "I didn't perceive him as outgoing."
