Found Deceased TX - Kaytlynn Cargill, 14, Bedford, 19 June 2017 #3 *Arrest*

I've been watching, with great interest, the Natalee Holloway Special on Oxygen.

One proposed theory is that Joran slipped the date rape drug into NH's cocktail. Within twenty minutes, she was foaming in her mouth, choking and convulsing so JVS panicked and phoned his father. In this scenario, NH overdosed on the date rape drug. Is overdosing on the date rape drug common?

Could toxicology lab results indicate that KC ingested that tasteless, odorless drug and the ME still rule her death as homicidal violence?


At the landfill search, it appeared her body may have been discovered near large pieces of cardboard, perhaps remnants from a compressed large box. However, I did not personally see CSI remove any evidence from the landfill scene. Perhaps she was not wrapped in anything such as a burlap sack, or a blanket, that would be traceable to anyone or else the landfill worker may not have been capable of spotting her.

Good questions, but I have no idea. Every day that goes by just brings nothing but more questions. It is so very frustrating!!

Was not sure if a "date rape drug", being tasteless; etc, could be detected during a toxicology screen. Found answer here(see below). Excuse my ignorance on the subject. States yes it can, its expensive and takes 1-3 weeks. Also found a person can OD if dosage too strong. She was very small. Something else to think about.

I hope the nightmare will lessen for you.

I keep thanking 'the universe' for having Kaytlynn seen, and found. That has to be a nightmare for those responsible for this child's death. They would have gotten away with this senseless murder. Now KC will haunt them. And LE will throw the book at them.

Such a beautiful soul, taken from life's journey, way too soon.

I am certain that I am not alone in saying, if this child was my daughter, I would be demanding coverage! Demanding justice! On a daily basis!

I feel that the police have some ideas and they're just not saying. It's been too quiet. I would think that her family and friends would still be making a lot of noise about this if they didn't have some ideas.

I think the family knows everything, thus why they're not speaking out. I would be willing to bed BPD is in constant (or consistent) communication. I don't think they're involved in any way. But, I do think minors were and that they're protecting the investigation. MOO

Hmmm.... I haven't thought about it (lately) in that context -- that's interesting, IMO, and worth serious consideration. Could be, could be, although I hope it won't turn out that way -- that would make it doubly cruel, IMO. SMH.

Kaytlynn was showing the beginnings of becoming a real beauty. All is not in the appearance, of course, but she just seemed to be the perfect picture of an American Girl, to me.

why the parents aren't on TV daily pleading "if anybody knows anything or saw anything come forward" is troubling.
The cops are not perfect, if they asked them to keep a low profile because an arrest was eminent, that time has come and gone.
Something seems off.
