<modsnip> The police department can't arrest someone on theory. They need the D.A. to say they have enough evidence to arrest and bring before a Grand Jury for an indictment. If the don't have their ducks in a row, they can really mess up the case and that would potentially add more to this emotionally exhausted family. That is horrible.

I agree I hope they can soon find Papaw or they find all the evidence they need make an arrest. But, I hope they have everything they need to punish whomever is involved, to the fullest extent.

When it comes to attorneys, that is a lot of money. Maybe they don't believe BC has done anything wrong, why would they spend the money to review what she has done? That could explain why they haven't retained an attorney.

Remember we have no clue what they are privvy to. I know this seems to be such an emotionally charged case and everyone is waiting for something, but I personally want it done right the 1st time. And I truly hope they locate papaw soon before an arrest so that everything is in a nice pretty package to deliver to the grand jury.

This very thing has crossed my mind more than a couple of times...
Now your talking....agreed. No one thought this would be so public. So many missing cases never hit the news.

<modsnip> If I were them, I truly believe I would get nauseous just thinking about what may have happened to my own father or grandfather, especially given the circumstances and things that have come to light. And I am only talking about public information and what our VI has shared with us; who knows what else they may have uncovered whether on their own or through the investigation.

I have also wondered for some time maybe HCSO was misled or deceived in a much similar manner, which impeded their investigation early on. I am speculating here, but I think it's possible the Sheriff's comment, "He's a great family man, he loved his wife dearly and I don't know if somehow he was protecting her," as well as the use of past tense in referring to PaPaw during the press conference three days after PaPaw's disappearance were because of some misinformation that had been given to them, and since the source of the information was so convincing and the story so elaborate, they went with it. I am not a fan of HCSO by any means, and the above is pure conjecture, but as I said previously, the consistent pattern of inconsistencies in this case is very troubling, IMO.

<modsnip>

There have been other inconsistencies in the timeline leading up to HCSO's arrival at the Chambers residence, and that really bothers me.

Just downloaded a document titled "Proof of Death and Other Facts" from iDocket. Will post shortly.

I don't know exactly why, but I'm crying ... :(.

Also, here is a SS of case history as it stands at this time:

I know how you are feeling. Seeing the word, "deceased", listed all over these documents, screams out at us!

Where are all the great investigative reporters, when you need them?!

I wonder if Dateline could get in on this. Seriously. They often start their stories well before they are solved. I'm not sure how to contact them, but I will look. This is very suspicious.

I will send Dateline a email with all of Pawpaw information and case facts in a few hours. Lots of things do NOT add up. Prayers for Pawpaw.

Thank you for finding and posting this. It is very hard to read. I doubt that the battery on his phone would have gone dead "within hours" of him being missing. They had two pings according to the sheriff. Earlier, one of the sleuths suggested that they reveal where the pings were, so that there could be a search in that area. Part of me wonders if his kids have seen these documents, and if so, when. If this happened to my husband, I would search until my death to find him. And nothing of his would leave this house until I found him. JMO

I agree. It's like she knows he's not coming back. She is supposedly too upset to speak to media but seems to be able to do a lot of paperwork etc just fine. <modsnip>.. May God bring this to light.... sooner versus later.. Justice for Papaw...

I called the Nancy Grace hotline and gave her all the pertinent details...I hope she takes this case on!,,

:happydance:Can anyone find the post that had the Nancy grace phone number to call? If so please bring it forward. I encourage everyone to call and refer her to this case! Squeaky wheels get the grease.

I will as soon as my letter (email) is complete to Dateline! (Soon) also, thought Nancy Grace's show was not on any longer?

She has an online show, like a podcast.
