According to KPRC in Houston, the private transport van which Marks was in stopped at a McDonald's to get food. When they get back to the van, they saw Cedric's shackles and shirt were in the back of the van and he was gone.

Honestly, I don't know which is correct. Other reports are that both guards went into the McDonalds.

They might be very lucky that they are not dead. There was another case a couple of years ago that has a thread and ended very differently with two of the folks that were carrying the prisoners were shot to death.

Officers are searching the area of North Loop 336 from Frazier to Interstate 45 and South to Wilson Road. Air support, K-9 tracking dogs and multiple ground units are being used.
