What I haven't seen mentioned is what gangs were involved?

And I know someone who is an asst. manager there, a guy I went to high school with who is not a nice, upstanding person to be as polite as I can.

Anyone know what the biker gangs are fighting/shooting about or what type of biker gangs? Are they recreational law-abiding biker gangs or biker gangs that are involved in dangerous business of drug trafficking, etc? I am assuming this shootout was not over something small or legal, but who knows? So sad, hopefully no bystanders got hurt and the individuals responsible for fighting caught. Jmo/

I have read on Twitter that these are NOT doctors and lawyers riding Harleys, they are criminal biker gangs.

Also read they were recruiting members, as Twin Peaks was a known biker hang out.

I can't copy/paste from my kindle, so MOO.

What are the hashtags on Twitter associated with this?

Swanton placed the blame of gunfire upon the bikers “flying their colors" at Twin Peaks, with logos emblazoned on the back of their leather jackets identifying them as Bandidos, Cossacks and Scimitars.

Told my hubby that I would bet money on bandidos being involved! My ex had a cousin who was in Hells Angels and I was SHOCKED by how much stuff still goes on in the biker gang world. HA and bandidos have a lot of bad blood. Since he was Canadian he couldn't even fly into the U.S., I was nervous when we went to his wedding somehow I was going to be flagged and not allowed back in. At their wedding, there were tons of hells angels, and at their gift opening, they ended up with a huge stack of cash.

I looked Twin Peaks up on the internet. Sounds more like a biker bar than a restaurant. Figures. Definitely some idiot or idiots running this place. They had been warned by LE that this is what could happen, and sure enough. Stupid. Just plain stupid. It is a wonder no bystanders were killed.

It's a breastaurant like Hooters, except this one is kind of a more lodge/cabin feel.

It would have been a lot worse if the police were not there already.

Thanks. Here is an older article on criminal biker gangs. I guess Bandidos are part of the 1% of bikers that are involved in criminal enterprises and assume Cossacks and Scimitars too (http://listverse.com/2009/08/18/top-10-notorious-american-biker-gangs/). The remaining 99% of bikers are law-abiding biker groups. Surreal and scary...it's like a cross between a Quentin Taratino and Mad Max movie. Jmo/

Heard of course of the Bandidos but drawing a blank on the Cossacks and Scimitars.

WFAA TV (@wfaachannel8) tweeted

Waco PD Sgt: "In 34 yrs of law enforcement, this is the worst crime scene, the most violent crime scene, that I have ever been involved in" (https://twitter.com/wfaachannel8/status/600064981795737600?s=17)

I guess he was fortunate enough not to be in Waco in 1993.
(Or maybe just wasn't involved in that massacre.) :twocents:
