10 min break.... state has never seen the letter, needs a few mins to review.

10-minute break for the prosecution to review the letters

How is this emotionally wrought woman's testimony saying anything helpful other than she will be upset if BD gets the death penalty?

I, personally, don't like how she snaps out of the emotional voice and is energetic and alert answering the next question. It is disconcerting. How deep do these emotions run with this woman?

So Jenna didn't get special top secret coded messages in her letters??

And of course they have a copy of the envelope, but it held more than one letter. Sure. That's exactly what happened. And only one letter mailed that date was seen by the Detective. Uh huh. Yup.

Defendant's sister getting chummy with some female during break.

Even if these letters show remorse... these were early letters, since then he has shown NO remorse. And he has shown NO remorse to anyone else, ever.

I wonder if his mom still sends him money for his acct.

Plus, wouldn't he want the beloved Jenna to think he had normal emotions (much as she seems to be as much of a wack job as him)? If...big if...the letter is real and just happened to be the only one to slip by the Detective.

Prosecution should have questioned the quacks better in one area, IMO. How can someone function so highly in their career if they are suffering from severe depression??? You can't self medicate with drugs and alcohol during the work day if you are performing well at work.

Sheer will power helps short term. A belief in a Higher Power usually has permanent results. Have you ever heard 'fake it 'til you make it'? Saying something inspirational aloud (even when you think it and you are full of poo) every morning can work. It has something to do with how human beings are wired, what our mouths says our ears hear and with repetition can become truth. I have done it and it does work with time (depending on how deep the problem is).

IMO the singular root cause of all the unhappiness, the drugs and violence is the state of people's spiritual being. Insanity is another subject.

Okay that's enough of me on my box...

Better to be on a box then to be in a little box.

But it is still recorded. Or do prisoners not believe that message?

Apparently that message did not impress Brandon's mother at all.

I think Brandon may have been feeling out his sister to see if she would be a good conduit. I don't know what coded language he may have tried to pull if she was agreeable?

:dunno: I'm sort of thinking whatever is in this letter is a big nothing. :twocents:

If someone is trying to elicit sympathy from an ex lover how would a letter read? Full of confidence and self assurance or depressed and remorseful?

The guy is very manipulative.

Looking at a letter Daniel sent to Jenna. Says he just got transferred to Del Valle where it was a lot worse conditions.

In the letter, Daniel says "his heart goes out to Jaime Padron." First time since interrogation video that we have seen some remorse.

Chris Sadeghi @chrissadeghi
Daniel writes that he has been selfish. Says after the break-up, he looked at himself in the mirror and realized life was over.

The hand print signature on letters comes from them putting their hands up on video calls and up on glass divider as if to touch each other

Wish they would show the letter instead of the witness... camera person needs lessons on what the audience wants to see.
