This article that was released a couple of hours ago has a little bit of new info in it, but nothing about the 8 new warrants or the new suspect. There was another news article I read that did say one of the warrants is for a list of things found in the house the bodies were found in. When I find it again I'll post it too.

Sorry but if I read really fast, I can see it before the paywall jumps up. Yes I cleared my cache.

I read that LaPorshay reported a purse, jewelry, gun, and money was stolen. Is that correct?
It did state she didn't report the drugs. The vehicle used for the kidnapping was Jones's girlfriend's car.

Can't remember what else I was able to read real fast :(

Oh and Fields is still in FBI custody, judge refused his realease because he is a flight risk, was found near a airport.

Federal prosecutor Camille Sparks said Fields was a danger to the community and called him a flight risk because authorities had tracked him down to a hotel near DFW International Airport.

Defense attorney Joey Mongaras said Fields hadn't purchased plane tickets and had cooperated with authorities by giving them access to his cellphone.
Randall, the FBI agent, testified that information from Fields' phone showed he had traveled to California several times this year. He said Fields also performed in rap videos on YouTube with what appeared to be weapons and "wads and wads of cash."
Polley, who is Fields' girlfriend, remains at the Dallas County jail and faces charges of drug possession and tampering with physical evidence.

How ironic would be it be for the gun used in the killings to be spotted in a rap video of Fields'. I didn't say it was seen in a video, as I haven't seen those videos or the gun used in the killings.

The FBI accuses Fields of unlawful possession of a firearm. His criminal record includes convictions for drug possession, theft and deadly conduct after he shot a man in the buttocks.
"What people were telling us is that this girl is missing because of Darius' drugs," said Randall, the FBI agent.
Kendall Perkins, the boyfriend of Shavon's cousin Ledoris Randle, told police that he stole about 22 pounds of marijuana believed to have belonged to Fields, Devontae Owens and possibly others. Perkins implicated other people in the robbery and said they also stole pounds of marijuana from Polley's room, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Soooo when push comes to shove, and THEIR life is on the line, they sing like a canary! No mention of the 'new' suspect, nor the 8 warrants. These people have prior charges, so their sentences must have not been long or why were they out walking the streets, dealing the drugs, and kidnapping and murdering?
Thoughts for another time I suppose, but I pray justice in this case is long and hard!!!!

I think the robbers knew exactly where the 22lbs of weed were hidden. And this is why Titus was suspected of setting it up since he left the female by herself and then told her to open the door for the customer that just so happened to rob the place.

can you paraphrase the new info? it is behind a paywall.

Owens, Polley and Wilkerson have new charges (still none for murder). Polley's new charges seem to be unrelated. I think one was for driving while intoxicated. Owens has a $10,000 hold for motion to adjucate deadly contact. Does anyone know what that means? Wilkerson has a $3500 unauthorized use of vehicle charge. I can't remember if that was there already or not. I was able to find Darius Firlds in the Fannin County Jail the other day, but now I can't remember how I got to the website so that can look to see if he's still there today.

All of the info I found was using the Dallas County jail inmate search.

I think the motion is a request for a judge to make a determination of guilt rather than a jury in a trial.

Several of them were already on probation/parole for various charges.

They violated their probation/parole by being charged with these new crimes related to kidnapping and murder of Shavon.

The probation deals they previously had have gone out the window. The DA'a office is now asking for prison time on Owens deadly contact case.

Okay. Thank you both. I was thinking it had something to do with this case. That makes sense. Throw everything at them so there's no way they can get out on bond.

This may not be new news, but it's new to me. (Please forgive if it's a repeat.)

[h=2]Prosecutors have requested that the house, which had been slated for demolition, remain intact[/h]Plans to demolish the abandoned Dallas home where investigators recently found the bodies of 13-year-old Shavon Randle and 19-year-old Michael Titus have been put on hold.

New to me, too.
Also from your link:
"According to a City of Dallas official, preparations were underway to demolish the home in the wake of the crimes that happened inside. That included obtaining the permission of the property owner.
But in recent days, prosecutors with the Dallas County District Attorney’s office stepped in to stop the planned demolition in an effort to preserve the crime scene."

I'm glad they're tearing it down. I've seen people being interviewed suggesting that it be cleaned up and rented, sold, used as a homeless shelter, a recreation center for at risk youth, etc. People obviously know nothing about real estate. Who in their right mind would want to rent or buy a house that 2 people were brutally murdered in and you can't get zoning to put things like a recreation center right in the middle of residential homes. Speaking for myself, I wouldn't want a homeless shelter placed next door to me. I think they're doing right by tearing it down. It's been vacant for many, MANY years anyway.
