I totally think the Altima is related to this crime. IMO the driver sort of stalks and moves around oddly in the parking lot sort of the same way in the church. Even methodically in both places. JMO

My impressions from the SWFA video:

• Driver attempts to enter the parking lot surreptitiously by killing lights before turning into driveway and driving in outer perimeter drive on NW side of building.

• Confusion leads to realization: turned in the wrong driveway.

• On backside of building, realizes stealth is no longer necessary at this location and starts to turn on headlights but is startled by cars parked in loading dock area and quickly turns them back off.

• Concludes the cars have no occupants and turns headlights on. Proceeds around the perimeter of the building with headlights on, unconcerned about being noticed by passers by.

• Drives somewhat distractedly, perhaps trying to figure out how to get where supposed to be.

• Decides its best to park for a moment and figure it out. Three possibilities here: (1) Consults a map, (2) Consults directions previously provided (3) Calls "boss" for clarification.

• Heads out with headlights on and no qualms about being noticed. (Using turn signal to enter highway is odd. Possibly the driver was concerned with making the impression of an innocent, law-abiding citizen.)

I'm not going to comment on enhanced photos, but I think it's clear that there is one occupant in the Altima wearing dark-colored clothing that contrasts well with the light-colored seats.

I've circled the subject that I believe is a woman with dark hair driving the vehicle. Maybe I've been looking at it too long but It seems clear to me from the close up, side view and the second photo of the car under the lamp post with the inside of the car briefly lit up. It is my belief that a woman drove the car and at least one other individual was in the car to act out the murder. I totally believe the car is related to the crime, hence the reason the police put out the still shot and later on we see the second release of the surveillance video from the gun shop. I do enjoy reading everyone's thoughts on this challenging case....

So this is OFFICIALLY my first post on WS... I had to join bc I want to see this case solved...

In response to your reply I think we can pretty much assume this Nissan is related to the crime... due to: 1) the zoomed in/enhanced pic someone provided here of the person in the car that shows the person wearing a white balacava like the SP is wearing in the church and then the other the other zoomed in/enhanced pic someone provided here of the persons back in the car as they are leaned forward and turned and you can see some white lettering on the back of what they are wearing which I am confident says "POLICE". Decoy or not this is related to the crime. Police may have played it down but Ill put money on it this is related.

Welcome, EEH! Would like to hear more of your thoughts...

:welcome:

Brady, Texas is in McCulloch County, due west of Killeen/Fort Hood, nowhere near Midlothian. However, there have been theories about SP flying out of the airport. It may have been too stormy to fly that night, but a private plane would be a good temporary hiding place for some soiled SP gear. SP flies out at his leisure later. LE wasn't searching private planes for anything. SP himself could have hid in a plane until the next day. Either leave Altima at or near airport or have accomplice pick up there. It is possible to hike NE of the church and get to the airport, not easy, but possible. We talked about that route a long time ago, but wouldn't the airport have security cameras, too?
BBM. Oh, snap! So much for that theory! Thank you for letting me know.

pic on right does look like a passenger, this is the 1st pic ive seen that appeared to have 2 ppl in the car, surely cops have better software to clear up the images. The pic I got of the plate just didnt have enough data. wonder if cops have better ways to enhance images

(There was supposed to be a quote of the post I'm replying to here but it didn't work. Someone wrote a post suggesting that small towns in Texas would cover up a crime like this. Now I can't find it, Sorry!)

As a life long Texan and the proud wife of a highly respected LEO with a long and spotless career, I must correct your misleading implication that there is a prevalence of police departments in Texas so corrupt and void of outside scrutiny that they are willing and capable of covering up a cold blooded murder. I can respect that this may be your opinion but it has no basis in fact. It's simply not true.

Please consider how utterly ridiculous it would be for a person to wear clothing with his or her profession emblazoned across it in huge block letters while murdering a person at a place where anyone could have walked right in and seen it happen. Any LEO would have the sense to spot video cameras. The SWAT get up, covered head to toe, was likely intended to hide identity, not to give the cameras a huge honking billboard, proclaiming their true profession, "Look, I'm a cop", when they really are a cop.

welcome and you know what this means, cops fibbed just slightly when they said car was not related so what about folks they said were cleared? things that make you go Hummmm

Just catching up so if this link has already been shown, I apologize.

*Just wanted to add that I am 5' 2" and drive with my seat up as far as it will go...however when I get out of my car, I push the seat BACK again to have room to get out. (as I am right on top of the steering wheel)

In the video of the car in the parking lot, there is what appears to be a TV screen or something in the upper window of the building. It's near the very end of the video.

Has this been discussed? What is that? Is there a local who can let us know if there is some sort of video on or in the building that people outside can see? If so, what is it used for?

I guess I'm wondering if it was something the driver was watching while sitting there? Of all the places to park in the lot - the driver could park absolutely anywhere - s/he chose that spot, and I wonder if that has any significance or just a random spot to park?

It is unknown if the car is related to the crime. I think it's unfair to call LE liars because some 'imagine' they see the driver dressed in swat uniform.

When a picture has been zoomed in as much as it has been here, the imagine becomes distorted.

did I use the word " liars" ? No I said fibbed slightly there is a slight difference and BTW, I didnt say there was anything wrong with it, sometimes it takes a crook to catch a crook. I might add that car was performing in ways that make you go Hummm since a major crime was commited just across the street a few hours later. IMO something was up with that car.

Think about it this way- this Altima (and dare I say NG) got this thread back open for discussion. So, whether you think it's relevant or not- it becomes relevant.

Wonder if the owner of the gun store lives above the store ? Or the manager ?

That is a valid concern and I completely agree. Personally I do not zoom, but enlarge. When trying to bring out certain aspects of a photograph, I have to work through layers of the picture while being careful not to add something or taking something away. It is a long tedious process. The images I posted were not processed by a traditional bicubic photo resizer like photoshop, but by a program, that does not add artifacts during enlargement.

Although I use photoshop as my basic platform, I work with additional plugins or separate programs. I think the results speak for themselves.

I don't know, but the store is who released the video so I'm thinking that means the manager or owner would not give a clue that incriminates themselves.

However, the store did have control of the video - it is their video - and including the frames that show what looks like a video screen wasn't an accident. What do those frames tell us??? Anything?? IDK.

Wow go figure, I struck a chord saying there's alot of "who you know and how deep you know them" in Texas. Anyone who has lived here long enough knows I am right especially if they've lived in other places before they've lived in Texas. JMO, and just my experience. And to go along with "just my experience" in Texas, that goes with how law enforcement, judges, lawyers etc treat certain people. There's a lot of good ol boy mentality here. JMO

OMG im in the northwest now, having been a life long Texan it has been interesting to see how soft these guys are here and they are so protective of the accused, never seen anything like it
