I remember many many threads ago there was talk about her visiting a fire station a few days before her murder. Does anyone remember this? Just thinking about the LE connection. Also in high school, this was a good 15 years ago, I went on a 16 hour ambulance ride along for a health careers class. Wether it was a toddler choking or a senior citizen having a heart attack, fire was dispatched as well. They arrived before us on more than one occasion. Just thinking out loud here. Does anyone know if fire was at the scene?

MB also had at least 3 Midlothian firefighters (all Midlothian Firefighters are listed as EMT/Firefighter) FB friends assigned to "B" shift which was the duty shift at the time the 911 dispatches would have occurred.

We have many astute supersleuths on here. Has anyone asked the church to release its video? SWFA released their video in an effort to help catch the predator/predators; why could the church not do the same?

The padded shorts remind me of my kids ice hockey uniform which does cause an odd walk.

They looked to me to be loose and stuffed; an insurance policy that no inadvertent camera shots betraying the gender would occur.

I stand by my belief that the sticker on the Altima at SWFA is firefighter related, so at this point I see several tentative (some admittedly based on rumors) connections to firefighters in this crime.

 jmho but the video from SWFA is different than the church...where that video is evidence that is part of a murder scene. Jmho it is no longer Creekside Church of Christ property. To our knowledge no crime happened at SWFA.

LE has kept LOTS of info secret, so it would be LE staying the course.

 protecting the integrity of an ongoing murder investigation...in order to get a conviction one an arrest is made. Jmho

Has anyone given ANY consideration to the possibility that MAYBE LE no longer is in question of the identity of the Altima or it's driver?

The church video shows the killer and it's probably in police custody. The car at the gun store may not be related to the murder. We do know that perp in video killed MB. I don't think they will be allowed to release it.

Have considered it. Don't have any indication that it is the case. But I have always thought MPD bringing up the Altima at all to be a message and not just some unfinished business. So I do have my bias.

I am thinking that some of us should be putting some energy into considering the theory of an interupted robbery and try all the ways to slueth that.

Some of us are. We're just not the prevailing opinion in this case.

And it's hard to sleuth under this theory, because by its nature, it is random. Other than the Altima, how would you propose we sleuth a person completely unknown to MB?

The police said that she was targeted and so did MBs husband Brandon. They have seen so much more than we have so I trust they know she was a target.

LE went from burglary to targeted to the latest word being that they were leaning toward an untargeted hit.

BB went from burglary to targeted to maintaining radio silence for months.

So who really knows what LE or BB thinks?

During their investigation, police discovered through search warrants that Missy was dealing with “an ongoing financial and marital struggle,” and that she’d sent “flirtatious and familiar” messages to someone else. But after looking into that revelation as a possible motive, “the love-triangle thing is not really panning out so far,” Johnson said this summer.

That meant investigators were exploring the option that the crime was “an untargeted type of hit,” which greatly opened up the field of suspects — that it could be someone Missy knew or it could not. And while Johnson said in July he would not officially eliminate anyone as a suspect, Missy’s family was not a “focus of the investigation.”

I noticed in the first press conference posted up thread that even the day off the murder LE was already saying nothing appeared taken from the COC, no murders in Midlo in at least ten years, rare for a burglary to happen that time of day etc... While they were looking at every angle, even then it was obvious imo they were strongly considering the possibility of her being targeted. Nothing since has supported the burglary theory imho.

You can have a theory of the crime being untargeted without it being a burglary. It could be someone who wanted to vandalize the place and raid the kitchen.

And I don't know why people keep saying "rare for a burglary to happen that time of day." That's just not true. Between 3 and 5 on a Monday morning in the rain is a GREAT time to break into a rural church. And "nothing was taken" is exactly what you would expect in an INTERRUPTED burglary.

Not that I necessarily believe that burglary was in play here. Just saying that those two reasons are not good ones for ruling it out.

I'm surprised that very few people think CW is involved, even though his height fits the suspect description and he was married. He had a lot to lose and has motive for MB to be gone.

I agree....

If witnesses saw the suspect, why would the investigators keep that a secret?

For the same reasons they might be holding other information we suspect they have close to their vests? It's too sensitive to the case perhaps? I personally think they have nothing from outside other than maybe the distant car sighting. All my opinion.
