I don't know if anyone is still hung up on the "injured right foot" theory... haven't seen it mentioned in awhile. From early on, I felt like the theory was skewed by the fact that when the perp is closest to the camera (in the video we have), it's his or her right side facing us. So we notice the gait of that right foot more than we do the left.
But when we look at the portion of video where the perp walks down the hallway and then back again, it's more straight on. It is obvious to me at least that the perp's gait affects the left and right sides equally. Look at the pics below - the first one is with the perp walking away from the camera, and the second one is the perp walking toward the camera. You can see lots of daylight between the legs, and the left and right feet are both turned outward approximately the same:
Something else I thought of... if this isn't the suspect's natural gait, what other reason could there be for the walk? Well, it was a rainy night. What if the perp had gotten wet? Particularly if the perp is male, what we could be seeing is what I would call "crotch walk" for lack of a better term. It's the way I (also a male) would walk if my underwear had gotten wet. Thoughts?
