(This is so embarrassing, but thought I would share it with you anyway. I was trying to look up to see if the Texas Rangers took the weekends off during investigations. And, the site said the Texas Rangers NEVEREVERQUIT...then I realized I was on a professional baseball team website and not on a LE site, ugh!)

Figured I would come out of lurking to share some of my thoughts on this case....I hope I'm within bounds of the rules.

Do we have any body language experts here? In the latest video that BB and his father did, regarding the bloody shirt/s, at around the 6:40 mark, I feel BB goes into a very strange state where he can't speak and gets flustered. He also talks about his innocence and then purses his lips out while touching them, as if it was hard to say. That whole point in the video made my stomach sink. It was like he wanted to talk about the real perpetrator but got confused because maybe he knows something.

I think he accidently revealed his inner thoughts there. He's been 'role-playing' in his mind, trying to anticipate what questions he'd be asked.

Did anyone catch the following statement (the bold/underlined is my emphasis on his words):

BB: “… you have to ask yourself, if a person is going to break into a church, what are they gonna take? Um, what are they there to steal? AV Equipment? I work in a church. Some of the most expensive equipment in a church is AV equipment. Or money from tithings from the previous day.”

He words in a church? Have we talked about that yet?

No, I don't remember talking about it, but don't take my word for it. Curious about the working in a church too. I thought he did something else? Had to look up AV equipment. Audiovisual equipment so is he talking about the security camera or what?

in the youtube vid I posted BB says

"We were waiting in there for half an hour for you to show up" indicating the Police Office and talking to the media.

So RB and BB for some reason waited in the police station for the media.

this is very very unusual. if police wanted them speaking to the media they would've set it up formally.

Actually I've been very intrigued that the MIL, FIL and husband have sought out media since day one. Very unusual, IMO. I became very skeptical after watching MIL, suspicious after watching husband on those marathon statements and soon totally crazed out when I watched the FIL walk (wanted to say duck waddle, stiff right leg walked) to talk to media after warrant for bloody shirt. A lot of you know me, I've been here a while, so you know I'm probably one of the most cynical people alive, outspoken, painfully blunt and tend to say what I'm thinking. I'm going to painfully try to observe and refrain from stating my opinion so that Tricia will let me stay. Just saying, for now.

depends on WHEN we are talking about- he did state in an interview that he works in a church and audio/video equipment would be stolen as well as money from sunday.

To answer one poster's inquiries on why someone would take a flight to go fishing: Biloxi is on the Gulf of Mexico, has lots of very nice hotels/casinos on the Gulf, golf courses, entertainment, great restaurants and loads of very nice big boats for deep sea fishing charters where one can go out 100 -150 miles into the Gulf to catch the big fish. It would not be odd at all for a group of men (or women) to make this an annual event. Many do. And to drive from Midlothian to Biloxi would take a lot of time better spent getting out into the deep water. The charter will provide the gear, food and drink for the trip and the fishermen can spend 2-3 nights and 3 - 4 days on the boat. There may have been a fishing rodeo or tournament although I didn't see one advertised to the public.

I can't view the video of the guy in the church parking lot, just the snap shot, but his right foot is like a wing - just as is the perp's. Odd.

As for the shirt(s) being taken to the dry cleaners to get the dog blood out of them - why not? Maybe they just really like their shirts and wanted to save them rather than toss them away? They are allowed to make this decision without it being some nefarious act, right?

I may be wrong but, I believe that LE has already confirmed the whereabouts of RB, BB and step-mom on the day of the murder and are not taking the weekend off to do so. It is more likely that the team assigned to this case has been working non-stop for 11 days straight, have covered all the bases and are waiting for DNA reports, computer/phone forensics and leads so some time off was in order. Over time pay and all that, you know.

I am hoping someone can help me find a video that I saw- I've since watched so many that I am having trouble locating the EXACT footage that I saw.
In the video, a news story, BB and RB are shown inside the police station. RB is leaning back waiting to go through a door, BB goes in first, then RB follows. There are several stories that show this, but they cut the footage before the part that caught my attention. As RB followed, and reached for the doorknob, he places his fingers out together in a straight line, a motion that is distinctive and mirrors hand motions made on the surveillance footage (as reaching for a doorknob inside the church, and as walking along the wall placing hands on the wall). Does anyone remember this particular footage in the bloody shirt presser new story?
at the time i did not post about it because i was concerned about forum rules- and am quite frustrated now trying to find it.

I am wondering if the timing of this killing had any relation to MB being gone the week before to Austin for the fitness conference? She had not been gone that long any time prior that I saw on her FB. The perp would have had ample time to scope out church etc IMO. Who taught MB classes that week? Maybe they saw something helpful to LE(people lurking etc). A perp might have felt more comfortable knowing his/her intended target gone.

I think he means work as in volunteer or serve. If I am teaching Sunday School the next day, I would say I am working at church tomorrow. So do most people I know. May be a Protestant thing?

I was just discussing this with my daughter a couple of days ago. She has studied quite a bit about body language. She said the two fingers, touching the lips like that, can mean he thinks he needs to be very cautious about what he's about to say and choose his wording very carefully, or that he's not being honest.

The last case I followed here was Dr. Teresa Sievers but I did not follow it as closely as I am this one.
Anyway, I don't remember exactly how long it took for the first arrest, does anyone know? After that we all suspected her husband was involved and were positive le had evidence to arrest him but it took a long time. It took so long I had to make myself stop reading the threads because it was so upsetting that he had hired his friend to kill his wife, he is an awful person and was caring for their children.
I don't bring up Dr. Sievers case because I think Missy's husband is guilty of wrong doing, I am bringing it up as an example of le having evidence and waiting to arrest. I think they are just gathering more evidence so that when this person is arrested it sticks.

I am so impatient with this case, getting on my own nerves with the inability to go for a few hours without checking for news.
I think it is likely they have enhanced video and can see important detail in this persons face and know who it is. I think they are gathering evidence of motive and looking into the possibility of anyone else's involvement.

Somebody answer me this question: Is it possible that police KNOW exactly who the murderer is & they KNOW he targeted Missy BUT....little problem they've got is NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE EVER TO CHARGE THE MAN. I think the man is going to get away with this !!! Look: The ishy murderer 'had it in' for Missy AND ON TOP OF IT he's just taunting police with a 'hahahha you'll NEVER catch ME!' mockery of police now.

I haven't looked into body language much, but I have looked into statement analysis a little, and the two are intrinsic. People clamp their lips together to prevent themselves from saying things. They also change the subject.

This statement on 4/19 has me puzzled:

Reporter: “She was so well loved, are you just wracking your brain saying, who would want to hurt such a beautiful person?”

“Yes. I mean it’s ah, you know, this world is full of evil people, ah, (sigh).....(this was a very long pause).... um, I don’t, I don’t know... without going into any details that I’ve spoke with Law Enforcement, yeah, I mean, yeah, we’re talking about a senseless act here, okay? Um...”
