I may be overthinking things, but the helicopter ride that lead to his truck seemed a little suspicious. We have seen things like this before with overly helpful friends that were involved, like the Skyler Neese case.

Did his friend know more? Like, where to look for the truck?

I have wondered about this. But deep down, I think it was a lucky find. This area is bare and lots of nothing between towns. Finding him in town was probably pretty easy. If he had been out in the country, well that would have been a harder find.

The June 28 judgment of the 7th Court of Appeals Texas is online (Case# 7-23-00225-CV). Court ruled that there is insufficient evidence of harm to continue the suit and ordered the plaintiffs to pay court costs for the defendants.

In the box entitled "CASE EVENTS" the judgement is dated 6/28/2024. Under the box entitled "APPELLATE BRIEFS", you can read the various Appellant and Appellee briefs.

Also, Chris Samples with KDJW has a response audio available on the highplainsobserver.com site.

Can anyone direct me to where I might read more of the Lehman/Moore criticism of Klein? I recently listened to the podcast again and certainly have thoughts on Klein.

DMs are welcome, thanks.

There is still that bullet casing and blood found in the Durango. Thomas was supposedly afraid of guns so are we to believe he tried to shoot himself in his auto and missed, just grazing himself enough to draw a little blood and then walks 15-20 miles in 4 hours to finish the job? Sorry, not buying it.

Klein shouldn’t be telling the father of a victim what the right thing is. He wouldn’t stand for someone doing that to Penny.

Im not sure I agree. I don't think anyone thinks that leaving a childs remains in a cold locker is a right thing to do, when it's been 8 years of no closure. If I were a betting person, I bet mom + dad disagree about where his remains need to be laid.

Since they are divorced, and Thomas was over 18 (and most likely did not have a will in place), it is not out of possibility that they are fighting over location.

A new twist from Klein's FB page: Klein Investigations and Consulting | Nederland TX

If you go to his page, you can see the screenshot he is sharing. Now what all does this mean? Why would someone bother faking their name and posting this? Whats to be gained? Did anyone actually seen any of the other posts? I missed them but hadn't been looking either. I also wonder if 'pieces of the puzzle' indicate pieces from Tom missing or pieces to the whole drama with MC and that lawsuit?

Public Statement:
A few weeks ago, KIC Texas began to receive comments from the general public regarding the Thomas Brown case. A subject posted on Facebook using the s/n of Lindsey Snow. She gave her bio to show she was living south of Dallas. We have attached her post.
The information she gave was turned over to the DOJ Dallas, which is also involved in the case. Within a few minutes of the post, it was taken down. However, META had been informed, and the metadata was captured from both the post and the takedown. It was the same. It has created more leads and added pieces to the puzzle of the Tom Brown case.
We want all of you who advised us of the post, and some other posts in the private chat groups, a huge thank you. We urge all of you who monitor these posts to advise us when you see these posts and when you see references to the Brown case.
We have established a new EMAIL for communicating with us when you see these posts. The case is still very fluid and we are still, along with Federal and State Investigators, continually following up on leads. If you see something - say something. Capture the post and send it to us at kleininvestigations@gt.twcbc.com as this is a fully encrypted email off-campus site that is being shared between agencies.
We have been in contact with Ms. Snow (the real one) and she has advised that she did not post this message. Furthermore, she states she believes someone used her name and images. We advised the DOJ and they have issued the proper paperwork to get the information from META to establish the IP addresses and the phone towers to which the information was uploaded and then erased. Again, the initial information is that they match. We would like to thank Ms. Snow for her cooperation and she has given a statement to investigators.

Just MO, while reading his post I had to keep in mind that it was written by the man who publicly claims to be a "Fixer"; seems to be yet just another of his efforts at drama and distraction. JMO.

@jellybean96 Thanks for the updates! When I went to the fb page it looks like Tom's dad has agreed for the release of his remains so he can be finally put to rest. My hope is that there's some measure of justice for him at some point. Maybe someone will say something or they'll come across communication that helps. I can't imagine what Tom's family has gone through and how long it's taken to bring him home. Here's the updated message from Klein's page:

Public Statement In The Matter Of Brown:
A week ago we made a post regarding Thomas Brown's remains. We are happy to announce that there has been an agreement and Tom's body will be returned to Canadian for proper burial.
Services will be private for only family members. We want to thank Mr. Kelly Brown publicly for making this possible. It is our prayer that healing may begin upon Tom's arrival home.
We are working on the case daily and are progressing.
Philip R. Klein, Sr. Investigator
