2010 article about Durst and the movie that had just been released. He liked the film, even though it portrayed him as a murderer. He also, apparently, keeps up with everything written about him and took issue only with a NY times article saying he carved up his neighbor. He said:

"I didn't carve up the guy. I dismembered a corpse."

I've been watching this miniseries and this latest news has me hooked!

Only a narcissistic sociopath would be pleased with such bad publicity and only find fault with the terminology used to describe his admitted action.

Robert Durst = :trainwreck:

In all seriousness, I wonder if he killed more than 3 people besides Kathy Durst, Susan Berman, and Morris Black. If he kills two or more people, Durst is a serial killer.

I tend to think that Robert Durst has a lot of pent up anger and could be an injustice collector.

I recall that too. I think a handwriting expert said it looked liked Durst's writing, IIRC. I hope it's something he said in the documentary that led to this arrest.

The letter Durst mailed to Susan misspelled "Beverley" Hills just like the note to police that a cadaver could be found at Susan's address

For someone who thinks of himself as genius he is quite stupid.

"As a result of investigative leads and additional evidence that has come to light in the past year, investigators have identified Robert Durst as the person responsible for Ms. Berman's death,'' the Los Angeles Police statement said. "Investigator's in concert with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Major Crimes Section secured an Arrest warrant for Robert Durst for the murder of Susan Berman and arrested Mr. Durst on Saturday, March 14, 2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana.''

The last minute of the documentary "The Jinx", had me spellbound - and scared me to the point of not being able to move.

ETA: For those without HBO - here is an article that quotes some of what he said....

“What the hell did I do?” Mr. Durst whispers to himself in an unguarded moment caught on a microphone he wore during filming. “Killed them all, of course.”

That was a real spellbinding docudrama.....Now let's see what kind of dream team he whips up for his defense in LA.

Part 6 was amazing. His mic still on in the bathroom and he's talking to himself!

Yes they do. Now I'm curious who will be prosecuting him and who the judge will be. This is going to be in Los Angeles, after all! Hopefully no one will "feel sorry" for the old man.

:judge:

Not OJ again!

Op

Wow so his brother is happy about it. It's been the rumour here in NY that Douglas has bodyguards with him at all times. One reason is that he's petrified of his brother.

What makes him worry about his brother?

What I said about his brother was confirmed by him on episode 5 of " the Jinx".

Hopefully his defense attorneys won't be any of those regularly on TV...and the prosecutors won't be seeking their 15 minutes of fame to move on to the media circuit.

In "Beverley" Hills....we may be in trouble :hills:

The documentary's interviewer has the newly found letter and envelope with the same misspelling and block font style as the cadaver note / envelope. The interviewer ambushes Robert Durst by first asking him several "softball" easy questions about some photos and then just hands Robert the newly found letter and envelope, and lets them hang there for Robert's reaction - well, it is frighting to watch Robert as he puts it together, he begins to burp, almost vomit, and puts hands to his face, he then 'rights himself" and denies that he wrote it. The interview ends, and everyone tries to make light chit chat (it is really weird and scary - frighteningly scary).

Robert then goes into the bathroom, but is still mic'd. Here is what was recorded... it is Robert, breathing heavily at times, making odd noises, running the water and slowly talking to himself, here is what he said;

There it is, you are caught
You're right of course
But, you can't imagine
Arrest him
I don't know what's in the house
Oh, I want this
What a disaster
He was right
I was wrong
And the burping

****then what sounds like Robert throwing up*****

I'm having difficulty with the questions
What the hell did I do
Killed them all, of course
