Let's see if I got this straight: :waitasec:

A body previously thought to be Mark Scott turned out to be Steven Sickman. But it doesn't say if Sickman was previously mis-identified.

... And a newly mentioned MP named David Waggoner is unaccounted for. Here's his photo and Charley Page:

waggoner_david.jpg

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/w/waggoner_david.html

... And apparently, Prater is looking more like a missing Corll victim too.

... And this UID still remains unidentified:

It doesn't say whether this UID was found in the boat shed or on the beach. But I don't think he is Mark Scott. It could be the newly mentioned 30th victim, David Waggoner. Waggoner was a Marine, and the above mentioned UID was wearing a shirt with the letters USMC on it. But Waggoner was much taller than the estimated height of this UID. And (FWIW) he has a much different facial shape - (But Michael Baulch's recon was way off, so I'm not sure how much reliance we should put on this recon.).

I guess this means that Mark Scott is again missing. It doesn't appear that they ever located the "High Island. In the sand. Fetal position. Head up - strangled.” victim who Henley indicated was Mark Scott.

And BTW, Waggoner had a previously broken collarbone, just like the remains now "positively" ID'd as Sickman. But they are sure now that it was Sickman. (I hope).

Wow. That whole case has been a significant screwup.

Here's this guy's NamUs file.

The video in your link includes Michael Baulch's facial reconstruction, and indicates that he is unidentified. The other victim still unidentified is the person who had been buried in Michael Baulch's grave before the mixup was discovered. Now that this foul-up has been resolved, that victim (Case 73-3333) is again listed as Unidentified.

https://identifyus.org/cases/7774

AFAIK, there is not a facial reconstruction for that victim.

NamUs lists the UID's height at 5'4" (i.e., 64 inches). DoeNet lists him as between 5'2" and 5'7".

Faulkner is listed as 6'1". That's quite a discrepancy.

I was looking at this NamUs entry: https://identifyus.org/cases/7774. He's listed as 73". But that's not Swimsuit Boy, is it?

The rest of the information matches Dermot -- fine light brown hair, same general look as the other victims.

I noticed this under DNA: "A second sample was sent on 4/05/2011 because the first sample may not have belonged to the remains." I guess that means they're starting from scratch.

I'd realized my mistake after I posted.

The 73" tall UID (NamUs 7774) is the person who was buried in Michael Baulch's grave until the mix-up was discovered, not swimsuit boy.

I went back last night and corrected my posts last night. Did I mis something?

I was correcting my post to say I still think Dermot might be a match for the taller UID, being as he's the right age, the right height, disappeared in the right time frame, and has what appears in the photo to be fine light brown/dark blond hair about 7" long, and also has the same general appearance as several of the victims.

Interesting article though there are a couple of errors.
The Boatshed isnt located at High Island its near Silver Bell and Player roads in South Houston in sort of an industrial area.
High Island is an area in Galveston Near Crystal beach where some of the bodies were buried.
Im not sure why they think Swimsuit Boy is from such an early time merely because Corl lived near a pool in 1970.
There was a public pool in the Heights that David Hiligiest and Malley Winkle were on their way to in 1971 whne Corll picked them up.
Im sure Public Pools were just one of the places like after school fast food joints that Corll cruised because teen age boys were likey to congregate there.
Also reportedly Corll liked to ferry groups of boys out to Galveston in his van to surf or splash around in the ocean that may also explain the swimsuit.
It is true that Corll rented the shed in November 1970 so anybody who was buried there it would follow disapeared either very shortly before that or afterward.
just a trivia note: they mention Homer Garcia in the article ,he was the boy Henley picked up at the driving school in july 1973.
He is the third boy whose photo is on the cover of the Jack Olsen Book 'The Man With The Candy' pictured below Hilligiest and Winkle.

Here's a photo of Roy Bunton:

That leaves only the "Swimsuit Boy" as the only remaining UID, and they have two strong possibles for whom they can't find identifiers.

I'm not sure where this belongs, but thought I would start in the unidentified section.

http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/in_focus&id=8534774

Filmakers doing a film about these murders got permission to go through Henley's stuff that's been stored at his mom's for 40 years.

They discover this photo of an apparently unidentified victim.

He looks terrified..

I hope they can identify him.

You're welcome Texas Charm.

What a frightening photo. I agree the young man looks terrified. I'm glad I read the article because the photo is difficult to see well. I initially thought it looked like the person was crawling into a small opening of some kind, but the MSM article in your link indicates the victim was laying down.

Hopefully someone can recognize this photo and help id this person. :praying:

Haunting .. and to think that someone might recognize him and realize that was the last photo taken of him ...

ugh ..

I believe Henley says he took the photo, but doesn't remember who the kid was..
