That is certainly a way AC could have become aware of her presence in the area. Also if she called herself "Zoe" on Tinder it becomes really easy to find her Facebook page. From there who knows...depends on what she would post on fb daily.

Tinder is a "Hookup" site. I do not know what Zoe meant by opening an account , may be just curiosity. But most male members have really only one thing in mind. I do not think that any guy would go on Tinder to find a girlfriend.
That may be what one of her friends meant by saying "I hope she did something crazy" (ie go meet a Tinder connection) to explain her absence.

BTW Tinder does not police fake accounts

Lots of people looking to hook up use Tinder, but its also used as simple way to meet people for dating. I know women in their 30's who have met decent guys through it. No long term relationships yet, but decent guys. I would imagine that younger folks use it even more, as their whole world is instagram, etc.

Teaser from channel 11 interviews the witness to Zoe's abduction. Wow just wow.

Many youth use Tinder as entertainment. There is a perception that it is safe, and you can enjoy scrolling through pictures, swiping left or right on your screen. The only way you connect with someone is if you both swipe "yes" to each other. Many celebrities use Tinder, and many youth get Tinder accounts so they can search for celebrities.

The fact that they both had Tinder accounts, and that her Tinder account had activity the day of her murder is evidence. whether it means anything remains to be seen. Why was AC parked there? Why did he get out when Zoe pulled up to the Redbox? Why was AC at that particular Walgreens? I believe there is more to the story, but I am not comfortable theorizing what it might be. A young, promising life was needlessly, senselessly, painfully snuffed out, and the person responsible is currently locked up.

My apologies, in advance, for expressing my tenderness.

Out of respect for the 18yo victim of the fatal and horrendous crimes against her, please refrain from speculating about her experience with tinder. I am grievously disturbed that LEO released this particular information. Please let us show restraint in publicly sleuthing this matter as we demonstrate respect for this precious victim who did not deserve to be murdered no matter what she did prior. JMHO

RIP Zoe Hastings :rose:

Another teaser from news about eyewitness:

Just watched this, how frustrating he did nothing in the moment ....I wonder how long it was til the second siting of AC the same afternoon stating he was wearing different clothes? Where were original clothes & how carried along or did he wear layers?

How frustrating that he didn't act at the time .... what a thing to regret.

I was not able to watch the interview and it is not on the station's Youtube.

What did the witness say? TIA!

I wondered the same thing about the change of clothes.

I think the witness seemed like a decent guy that just didn't see anything that raised red flags to him when the perp approached Zoe's car. He (the witness) was instrumental in solving the crime but I'm sure "what if" will haunt him for the rest of his life.

I'm not afraid to speak up at any time to any one and I'm very security minded. I honestly don't know if I witnessed the very same thing he described if it would look like a crime to me.

I hope people don't demonize this guy. Like I said he seemed decent and he came forward as soon as he realized a crime had been committed. RIP dear Zoe.

Hummed it sounds like he was laying in wait for any young woman.

Whatever he said to her had to have scared her so bad she moved over.

Heck he had to see the two witnesses grabbing a smoke.. maybe he told her they were with him and that really scared
her.

I don't think they could see if he had a weapon. Only Zoe could see it.

He would have to profile a victim inside a car carefully, and Zoe's young age likely made her an easier target. In states like Texas (and Georgia) drivers can and often do keep a loaded firearm wedged next to the driver's seat, that makes targeting people inside of vehicles a very dangerous thing to do even if the assailant has a gun or knife of their own.

I just watched the video and he said her blonde hair caught his attention.

I am thinking this killer was just as aware of the witnesses as they were of him but Zoe 's beauty made him take the chance.

And it WAS a big chance! The perp got out of his car and left it there while he kidnapped a victim in front of witnesses. If anything occurred to spark suspicion the police would be able to identify the perp from the vehicle that he left behind.

Looking at the map, if the witness was back at work later in the afternoon when AC walked by wearing different clothes he was on peavy road.

Despite him not thinking any action was needed, he saw enough to fill in some of the gaps and point police in right direction.

She had to be so scared.

BBM. I know. It just breaks my heart. :tears::tears::tears: I think of Zoe each and every time I drive by that corner. I wish this had turned out differently.
