From your link: “Cobos advised that Estrada went back to the gas station two more times that day within several horus and each time was more eager to get his vehicle cleaned,” the search warrant states.

By Sunday, October 16th, Cobos said the White Mustang had been cleaned.

No wonder CE seems confident. The car had been cleaned 7 days earlier. If it's anything like they do here where I live (central Texas) it's a deep/detail clean. That type of cleaning in my town cost's $100 and up.

We can only hope something was missed if that car was involved. I think it is because he wanted it cleaned pretty bad to go back 3 times that one day.

A close friend of Fabian, Joshua Cobos, said he stopped by his gas station in Alpine “acting very nervous.” Fabian went so far as borrowing Cobos’ cell phone to make a private call to Estrada’s girlfriend. Meanwhile, Estrada had attempted to get his white Mustang professionally cleaned at the gas station. Cobos told police he came back two more times that day.

“Cobos advised that Estrada went back to the gas station two more times that day within several horus and each time was more eager to get his vehicle cleaned,” the search warrant states.

By Sunday, October 16th, Cobos said the White Mustang had been cleaned.

:gaah:I was hoping he had not been able to have it cleaned. Hopefully they still found enough evidence that wasn't cleaned away.

BBM
So, clearly, Estrada knows more than he's letting on. IMO. Otherwise, why the obsessive need to clean?

I just posted the same thing. Oops.

I keep going back to CE statement: he hasn't seen Zuzu in over a year & he had no involvement in her disappearance. I think its entirely plausible that this is true.

He may not know where she is or have seen her, and he might not have helped make her disappear.

But its what he isn't saying that is sending up red flags to me. He isn't saying he didn't help his friend clean up, give an alibi, etc.

This guy reminds me of people who use 'word plays' to deceive people. Its not what he is saying that should be examined. Its what he isn't saying. I truly think he is playing a game with his words.

Agreed. So, essentially, these are not "lies". Just skirting around the actual truth and details.
Obeseeively needing to have his car cleaned points in one direction, IMO. He knew where RF was and knew he left some evidence in his car that needed to be removed ASAP.

I believe trash pickup was halted after Zuzu went missing. Does anyone know how long that lasted? If the car was cleaned in Alpine, the evidence from it might still be there.

Trash pickup has not been interrupted, it has just been handled cautiously at the landfill.

I could not have stated my thoughts any better than this. In CE and RF cases, I think this is true. Things like "don't know where she is",
"haven't seen her in over a year". Technically, these can be true statements, but the act of omission can be as telling as the commission
of something itself.

Also, the "everyone knows your business" mindset of small towns can be hard to deal with. However, in cases like this, it might provide answers that are missing.

Texas AG Leading Investigation Into Zuzu Verk Disappearance

(Alpine, TX) — The Texas Attorney General’s Office is taking over the criminal investigation into a missing Dallas-area woman in west Texas.
Sul Ross State University student Zuzu Verk hasn’t been seen since October 12th and now the Alpine Police Department has officially named her boyfriend, Robert Fabian, as a suspect.
Fabian family members are also described as “people of interest” and so is Fabian’s friend, Chris Estrada.
The search for Verk continues and is concentrated now near the Texas-Mexico border.

Back in the early pages, people had found Robert's Facebook page but it couldn't be linked because he had yet to be identified. Is his page still up, and if so could someone post a link if that's within the rules?

Also, where is it stated that the neighbor heard a thump? All I saw so far was that he heard an argument. I apologize if all this is readily available here, I just haven't seen it!

Here's his FB - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100008188391688

CE is getting squeezed so he'll talk. He probably didn't DO anything, but probably KNOWS something, as was mentioned a few posts back. I hope he comes through and tells what he knows ... before it's too late to save himself.

Is this considered obstruction of Justice? Just because he was not present for the deed doesn't mean he cannot be charged with something, right?
