I’m also struggling to switch off from this case. I’ve never quite felt like this before. I think the doctors / social work report read out yesterday by the judge has made me worse, it makes the whole thing worse imo.

I’m actually trying to make myself believe that as it was from AC it could be fabricated, I don’t think it was though.
Because of his state of mind you don't know what to make of it.

I totally understand her anger but she wouldn't have been able to get near him. There was a wooden barrier with a glass partition on top that was 6 foot high, she couldn't have vaulted it and she was several rows of seats behind while he was already being led down the stairs.

Yes - protect the perpetrator. Yet he was allowed to turn and smile, he should have been battered for that alone!

I know. It’s barbaric. Genie is right in saying he is inhumane. How she gets up every morning and continues i’ll never know. It would eat away at me to the point I wouldn’t be able to live. She’s so strong and an inspiration for a woman so young. I truly admire her.

Agree, poor woman can’t get a minutes peace. She’s said she wouldn’t be here now if not for her daughter and I believe her. Only 23 and a life sentence of misery and heartbreak. I think I’d slowly go mad. I do think she’ll achieve something positive out of her tragedy. I can see her following in Sara Payne’s footsteps and putting Aleshas name and story forward to help others . We’ve certainly not seen the last of this lady.

Even his protection is also protection of the public. If someone attacked him they would then be forced to arrest that person, and frankly who needs that?

Yup. It’s own personal perception tbh I wouldn’t care if I was arrested for lashing out at someone who had done what he did to my daughter I tell you that. But everyone is different.

Agreed. She will go far and keep Alesha’s memory going. As you say her daughter will keep her going, I am so glad they have eachother.

I feel the same. I switched off from live stream yesterday, I was sobbing like a baby, actually felt a tug in my chest and I didn’t even know her ! When the crying started , I did see a flicker of emotion from Lord Matthews, I think even he struggled to continue and didn’t quite know what to do. I saw a few deep breaths .

I wouldn't either, but I wouldn't want Alesha's mum to be arrested so its best the temptation to do something arrestable is removed from her. He'll get his, she doesn't need to get herself into trouble over him.

It’s as if he paused to allow the crying out of respect aswell, that really got me going.
