Mark Bridger was at a parents' evening between 5.30pm and 6pm, the local council has confirmed to Sky News.

And it was the same parents' evening that April Jones's family were at.

But, the council has said, Coral and Paul Jones are believed to have left at 3.30pm, meaning it is unlikely they and April overlapped with Bridger.

Yet if the black binbag man is him, he did just that. Waited until the next day!
Snowdonia is also pitch black at night, although the moon is full at the moment. I wouldn't go up there at night. It was just a thought to explain away 1.5 hours missing time.

I agree with you - but it is so strange to think that - if this is the current suspect who was sighted with the bin bag - he would basically deposit evidence on his own doorstep.

As you have said, he clearly went somewhere for 1.5 hours, so why not take all the evidence that needed to be disposed of with him ?

It would be interesting to know when these 2 women reported their sighting, or rather when the police got round to hearing about it, with all the calls they had.

Panic maybe, making him act differently. I hate to think of the obvious reasons for delay, so won't post. We don't know, but vehicle missing for 1.5 hours with no sighting in surrounding villages makes me think he may have been a distance away, possibly overnight. We simply don't know. On triangulation, every time I have been camping in Snowdonia, you have no signal half of the time. It is bleak territory, punctuated by the odd farmhouse.

If MB is guilty of taking little April on Monday evening, he had until Tuesday lunchtime, when police found him & took him in for questioning, to have taken her anywhere. I cannot believe he would walk around in the area where he had left her, in full view of everyone in broad daylight! If it is him, then he was using the river as a distraction, far away from where she is. If he is so stupid, then he was pretending he was helping with the search whilst checking there are no clues around.

What I can't comprehend is that he knew the other child saw little April get in his car.

Sounds to me like the media have only just managed to pin down the local councillor. I'd probably take this info as more likely to be true rather than their previous guesses.

A Powys County Council spokesman said: “I can confirm that Mr Bridger attended a parents’ evening on October 1.”

Here is something else that bothers me and maybe someone can fill me in. MB is well known around the community so why wouldn't AJ say "it's ok, it's just Mark!" Vs. "it's ok, I know them!" Doesn't make sense, especially if the other little girl is who it sounds like it is. Has it been confirmed that the little girl she was playing with was the ex's child? If so then that statement makes even less sense. Or is it just an odd coincidence that his ex is telling reporters what some random child told police.

I wish the reporters would get the stories straight. My head is spinning g with the misinformation. I was sure what I read before insinuated that April and her parents had just returned home and the mother went inside to start dinner and let April play outside for only about 10 minutes (I'd have to look back for a link-does anyone else remember that?) before she went missing at 7. And then, if MB was at the parents night between 5:30-6, then he couldn't have been driving erratically around the estate and almost hitting someone at 6pm either. (Again, I'd need to look for the link-but did I recall that correctly?).

April had been playing with MBs daughter that evening, but it wasnt thefriend who was there when she entered the vehicle. Perhpas that friend didnt know MB? Even though its a small community, not everyone knows everyone else.

I've wondered that too. Also wondered if perhaps the child witness said April got into "Mark's van" and someone jumped the gun and supplied the "light-colored" details based on what they knew MB sometimes drove for a vehicle. Has it ever been specifically stated in MSM that MB did have access to more than one vehicle?

The school is set within the housing estate, so driving around the estate at 6 is possible

Oh! I have a preliminary theory! Supposing while MB was driving erratically for whatever reason, his car actually hit April. Then in cowardly fashion he decided it would be better for him to dispose of the evidence rather than stop and call emergency services. Now we have the other girl's evidence that April got into a van while alive and well. If her description of the color of the vehicle is being seen as unreliable and has been overruled, then it may be the police have come to the conclusion her evidence isn't reliable at all, in which case it's possible she saw nothing anyway, on that occasion.
