He still hasn't been tried or found guilty of anything yet, so I hope people on here will avoid the kangaroo court method of trial by forum.
It's worth remembering how much pressure the local police force will be under to get a result here, and fast. They have never dealt with such a high profile child abduction/murder case before.
We hope they are dealing with it well, but not everyone responds well to great pressure. This could also be true of MB. If the questioning has been relentless and desperate, he may have cracked and made a false confession, if he doesn't have a very strong will.
He is obviously the most likely suspect, but people should be wary of calling for the rope, based on the fact that a further charge of perverting the course of justice has been added.
We don't really know what went on in those interviews. I say this, even though I would be highly surprised if he doesn't turn out to be the guilty man, based on the information that has been made public by police. This is a very strange case, though.
