That used to be the case until a Supreme Court ruling in 2016 -In layman's terms, it means someone can be jointly charged/convicted of the crime of another individual, if it's decided they foresaw that the other person was likely to commit the crime.
"However, judges ruled it was wrong to treat "foresight" as a sufficient test."
