Speaking then of the lock up, why do you think the point was made in court in the grandmother's witness questioning that the lockup was overlooked by an adjacent house? Are they likely to come back to that eg might the neighbour be a later witness? Cameras? Why mention it all if there is no relevance? I recall a sleuther posted a comment about that overhanging window a few posts back...

I had a little nosey last weekend and noticed the overlooking window.

The window that overlooks looks like a small bedroom, so a kid or guest room. This is why I think the lock up could be the scene, as her bag was there (maybe he didn’t notice she had dropped it when she entered for whatever task he had told her). I then feel he’s left her there and returned the following night for his odd trip to cowbit. Then called the police the following day. Then got rid of something else on his kings lynn trip.

he has acted fast, as he only had two small windows where he’s missing, and whilst the mother is faking alibis and stories.

if it wasn’t at the lock up, where could it be? In the street? If it is pre planned then you want home ground and familiarity.

that’s how I see it

I still think she will be found in water - it fits better with the story that she ran away, and if found there’s a greater possibility that it could be attributed to a misadventure/ suicide. If she was buried, it obviously could only lead to a murder enquiry. I would be looking for areas of water in the opposite direction from cowbit within the time frames the pings allow. They laid the trail for cowbit to lead any enquiry that direction, but they wouldn’t have wanted her found for as long as possible to avoid cause of death being discovered. Just MOO.

I think a very young her.

Scroll down the pics and look at the one of her and a friend.
I'm not sure...I can see only a slight resemblance in that picture, but then her location in the profile is listed as Scunthorpe.

I've just come across the Sun article from a few years ago about one of their children's wheelchairs being vandalised What with the BBC baking palaver and this, plus all the social media activity, this woman really thrived on attention, and I can see how she would have been able to attract even more of it through her children's predicaments, harsh and cynical as it is to say. I don't deny the value of using the press to raise awareness of rare conditions or to fundraise for a related cause, but the articles and efforts are IMO a clear indication of her narcissism and self promotion over anything else. How do people even end up getting into the tabloids with these stories? My child has a serious allergy complex, and I am spending time researching the best way to care for him and resource it, not trying to get coverage in the press. I'm trying my best not to be cynical, because I can completely understand how having challenges such as these makes life incredibly difficult, and hard for others to relate to. I just can't imagine how she would have had the time to host events and fundraise in the way she did (evidenced on social media), with the family's needs, especially for those children who had the conditions requiring extra care and resource.

Failed to post this successfully first time round. I think this has been alluded to previously, but just thought I would post the map to clarify. There have been mentions in the press of the lockups being located on Montagu and/or Churchfield roads. The ones that have been captured in the police search are situated just off the junction between both Churchfield and Montagu Roads.

Screen grab of Google Maps for ref.

Timeline is now updated to include testimony from last court day, Thursday 24th June.

I've tried to tidy it up a bit and colour code it for different types of entries, so that if for example you are looking for all trips to the lock-up garages they are all in green text. Mobile phone connections and disconnections are in orange. etc. Colour code is at the top of the timeline.

I'm not sure it looks any tidier but I hope it's useful. There is not much you can do when it's all relevant info. but you especially want to highlight certain parts, I think it quickly makes your eyes start spinning with underlining and bolding everywhere. Maybe wear some shades. :D

Who would say "wouldn't be out in the open"?

Is it a freudian slip?

Is it something people commonly say in Sarah's part of the country and I haven't heard it before?

To me it immediately conjurs up a dead body exposed to the elements. I would say outdoors, or sleeping rough if I meant living outside.

The timeline is conclusive. The girl had her phone taken from her several days before going missing, and even before she “ran off” the mother was changing passwords and setting alibis. I fail to see how she can be found innocent of the charges as she’s clearly in the know and in phone contact at ever major stage.

I note she refers to herself as a Padley in this 2015 article. When was the change of name by deed poll?

I tried to find the Go_Fund_Me page, and instead found a justgiving site. Note the preamble “about the fundraiser”:

i am elizabeths mum. I work hard to provide for my family but currently on maternity leave and also a carer to my 3 that have HME. And look after their father who has suffered disabling injuries due to car accident. I also have more children too

This seems to be ScW she’s referring to. As mentioned previously, I feel these “disabling injuries” will come to be mentioned in the trial…

EDIT: As a curious thought, I note this beginning with a lower-case “I” rather than a capital - is this because she opened with two spaces, as was observed in the message to BW’s friend?

First rate @Tortoise . I found the colour coding very helpful when trying to understand the lock up situation.

Out in the open, it's a phrase I'd use and I'm from Peterborough. I didn't know it was a regional thing. Interesting.

I'd use the phrase out in the open if I was referring to a setting, for instance, a pub garden, or a party in a field, but I wouldn't use it if I was talking about where a person might be. I've no idea why, it just seemed wrong. I might be the odd one :D

Did you notice his stepmother was asked about his disability by his barrister? It's bound to be a defence, he couldn't lift with his back.

I agree Tortoise - I remember thinking it was a weird thing to say when Bernadette went missing. Surely you would think your daughter would be at a friend’s house not in a field as implied by ‘out in the open’.

I am East Midlands and I would use ‘out in the open’ when saying about leaving something exposed, or for example referring to a person being exposed in some way to the elements - for example ‘ .... after spending the night camping out in the open I was tired, cold and miserable ‘.

I thought the same when I heard "collected her" from her grandparents lol
