Yeah it's odd the way the appeals and headlines are focused on the 3 women and the men are almost an afterthought MOO
Jumping in to ask ..is this pattern of search in relation to phone data or ping information ? Or i guess the best question is what is making this flyover mapped above a reasonable response in this case? It's still circling. Clip from ADS-B Exchange - track aircraft live a few seconds ago.

I definitely think this confirms they found two alive IMO as a direct result of the quick meaningful response.Gwent Police
Following enquiries to locate five people who were reported as missing, officers have found the car they were last seen in, in the St Mellons area of Cardiff.
The VW Tiguan was recovered just after midnight on Monday 6 March.
It’s believed the car was involved in a road traffic collision and came off the A48.
Three of those who were reported missing have been found deceased, two have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Specialist officers are supporting the families of those involved and enquiries are ongoing.
If you can help call us on 101, or send us a direct message, quoting 2300071791.

I know it's academic now but I did wonder if it was because no one had reported the men as being missingYeah it's odd the way the appeals and headlines are focused on the 3 women and the men are almost an afterthought MOO
That's what I presumed. That the women, being younger and in more constant contact with family, were nearly instantly reported missing. But the men being older, longer out of home etc wouldn't be as easily missed by family and friends wouldn't think too much of young men going a couple of days without being in contact. JMO MOOI know it's academic now but I did wonder if it was because no one had reported the men as being missing
Can the police decide that someone is officially missing in this type of situation just because they can't contact them? For all they knew the men could be quite safely somewhere else with their phones off
I don't know the answer but it might explain the difference in the way it was reported
I don't suppose the female survivor had been in the car before and if the man isn't the owner he probably wouldn't have knownSincere condolences to the families of the occupants of the vehicle who have tragically died. I really hope the two people with serious injuries survive and recover as much as possible.
It is a pity that it looks like the survivors were unable to activate the emergency SOS button in the VW Tiguan or the car didn’t contact the emergency services itself if it detects it has been in an accident. The car can give the emergency services details with the car’s location etc immediately after the accident so that help arrives ASAP. I drive a VW Tiguan (the UK model with a shorter wheelbase than the U.S version) and was pleased to discover my car had this as a safety feature when I got it. Maybe it wasn’t set up in the VW Tiguan that has been involved in this terrible accident or the car couldn’t contact emergency services itself because of the severity of the accident and the damage to the car.
