It’s a tough one!

I just thought I’d take a look at your previous post Shadwell - you make some very good points. In thread 14 there’s a poster called Ms Elizabeth - she references the nags head being watched by the police - re dealing.
So you potentially have this situation with the police - nose to the ground and literally right under their noses someone is disappeared.

It’s the old rucksack which makes it difficult -she’s surely not going to take it to someone who lives local, she’s not going to take it to the nags - I think alleywayman must be picking it up at 7.15pm on the 18th - it’s the only expaination which seems viable iMO. Which would mean she’s not at home but close by

Allywayman could have the rucksack going into the alley !
And if he knocked/ tried her door the cctv opposite her house should have picked him up too !

I think if you evaluate it in “theory” take her phone as not having left Heworth till 10am. She’s not at home. Looks like she’s left in a rush - pots in the sink, toothbrush on the kitchen drainer (but bed made) she can’t have travelled far. It must be an option to travel north south east and west from Claudia home and establish how far you have to move to connect to a different sector. Then you’d find where - then it’s just when. 6am there’s no call from her, 8.23pm on the 18th is your last text - there’s your window. She must have been put in a vehicle at some point - when? The suv parked across the pavement at 9.01pm on the 18th has to be a favourite - did it just park up in Heworth and then the following morning move. She could have been in a boot - upon disposal the perp found her phone and switched it off

Her phone would have rang in the boot over night .....

I wish I could find an article I remember where the police said they believed the. whole situation started kicking off...im pretty sure that's the expression or something very similar they used...more or less as soon as Claudia had finished the phone call with her mother.

assuming they do pay attention to their language, kicking off implies some kind of loud argument at the very least....if, for example, it started just with someone calling and asking if she wanted to go for a drink, id have expected them to have been a bit more neutral with the way they put it....I must admit this goes against my gut feeling that Claudia left willingly or at least quietly...I don't think the police have ever clarified what. they meant or have even been challenged on it

I never heard, when the crime precisely started so-to-say. Interesting.

so maybe...and a very big maybe....the. whole thing started with some kind of fracas in the street...which may have had nothing or something to do with Claudia....claudia comes to the door...lets someone inside. for protection and or somebody forces their way in....or she's somehow caught in the. crossfire ...is taken or persuaded to be driven away for her own safety....more speculation and questions. coming up even after all this time

Cortina - you said in your post - after CL finished her conversation with her mum and dad - it was all kicking off outside her house ! Did you witness this? If not - where did this info come from? Where was Claudia when it was “kicking off” was she screaming ? Could she be seen?

what I read...and I cant. find it. anymore so wed better forget or delete it or whatever...was a police spokesperson or rep or whatever from the fresh eyes investigation saying that they believed things had started kicking off almost immediately after Claudia had finished her phone call with her mother...as. far as I know, no clarification was. sought or. made.
they may have simply meant that the chain of events began that resulted in Claudius disappearance...it may have been something as. innocent as. someone visiting her with no ill intent...but, if that's what they meant, then they. were very careless. with their language because kicking off implies some kind of loud conflict to me...I was just speculating that if it did imply a loud argument, at. the very least, as the beginning, then this could have started outside involving two. other parties or on Claudius doorstep, maybe involving. her.

I’ve never heard the police mention it and I cannot find it on msm.- it’s obviously come from somewhere - which is a shame as there’s obviously key witness to Claudias disappearance - just let’s hope they have spoken to the police

I don't know why they think or thought whatever happened started happening then...I think I agree with the Claudia either left willingly or quietly brigade...but. if kicking off here means, as it. usually does, that some conflict was involved. that probably rules that out....maybe there's something on cctv we. don't know about that relates to this. time window...or if Claudia was phoning from home it could imply that it was more likely that someone was. with her

I have looked in detail at the bus cctv and I can see a man emerging between the cars - with what looks to me as a ripped elbow on his right arm. Let’s just say your witness testimony is correct and there was kicking off then - if it happened right after Claudias calls with mum and dad - it then makes sense someone was inside with her - is this the man which can be seen emerging between the cars?

I have looked in detail at the bus cctv and I can see a man emerging between the cars - with what looks to me as a ripped elbow on his right arm. Let’s just say your witness testimony is correct and there was kicking off then - if it happened right after Claudias calls with mum and dad - it then makes sense someone was inside with her - is this the man which can be seen emerging between the cars

You can tell how much I like football, alleyway man morning limes cctv. When it’s played back it’s broken into three parts 1 alleyman walks down into Heworth place. 2. Another man is seen across the road clutching something. 3.alleyman walks back into view.

Alleywayman Evening looks to be wearing overall or thick clothing waterproofs etc. the man in the morning just jeans and a waste length jacket

I think it’s clear she never walked to work on the 19th - so you can discount all of the sightings on the 19th - this is my opinion. Cortina says there was “kicking off” just after phone calls finished with her mum and dad. You have to favour alleyway man being inside while she talked to her parents - was it premeditated? Another car, perhaps an accomplice waiting outside in an suv parked right across the pavement close to Claudias door - you wonder what clues the mobile phone holds. Why is the rucksack missing? You feel she must have left her property willingly because it’s missing however could the perp/s have been that calculating to throw the boys in blue off scent or is there some other reason why it’s absent?

Hi, I'm brand new to this and have been studying the case as I live in York. I feel the opposite, there are too many wild conspiracy theories around people on CCTV. If, Claudia left for work that morning then she was snatched/attacked by a stranger or perhaps was the victim of a hit and run? Dark mornings, long walk, students and others driving back from nights out intoxicated. If it was someone she knew then it would have been the evening before, probably someone she let in. <modsnip>

I agree...I think wed have heard at least a bit of something if there'd have been disruption on the street....maybe the police changed their mind about things kicking off...whatever. that means...immediately after the phone call
