IMHO, and after watching numerous videos and reading numerous blogs, I still believe that Claudia spent the night at her own place and left for work at the normal time the morning of the 19th. I think because her breakfast dish and cutlery were at the sink waiting for her return to be washed up tell us a lot about her. Remember she is a trained chef working in an environment which should have regular health and safety inspections, one of them being the cleanliness of the kitchen she works in. This standard of cleanliness cannot help but influence her homelife. So therefore this dish and cutlery must have been from that morning and not the previous morning. More to come.

Not necessarily, I was a school cook for many years, ran a 5 star kitchen and have numerous health and hygiene certificates,my work kitchen was spotless,my home kitchen not so much!, the last thing I wanted to do after cooking from 8.30 in the morning and constant cleaning until 2 was to come home and cook and clean dishes!!

Thank you for your input.

And talking about the CCTV at the Post Office, I know her father said it was Claudia posting the letter on the 18th but it sure looks like a blonde girl doing that and all accounts say the picture of her was wrong. She had darker hair. But it just could have been the sunlight.
The weather was unseasonally sunny. I agree her hair appeared to have highlights.

Is it only me that feels it unusual that SC defends the 4 that were arrested and JK?

There is something very strange about this case. It's almost as though the only people who are able to make controversial comment are Suzy Cooper and Jen King. They are wheeled out in every TV documentary as the most affected friends when Claudia had many other friends.
They have attempted to excuse previous comments in their latest documentary and their latest appearance was filmed with "crocodile tears"
In social media JK attacks anyone with a view that is not aligned to hers and SC always takes the moral high ground

If I was Suzy or Jen then I would welcome anyone who wanted to assist and find out what happened to Claudia. But somehow there is a hard resistance that comes from these two ladies who apart from reserving their own dedicated space to be the pure commentary, feel that anyone else cannot have an interest or possibly be a friend of Claudia.
Almost a position reserved for close family.

I find this unhealthy and if I was a Senior Investigating Officer I would want to ask many questions of these two ladies to ensure that there was more clarity than "Mist over Pendle" IMO of course.
We all now know that The Nags Head was a local cocaine pick up point and that the alleyway behind Claudias house was the pick up and drop off point. The police won't admit to this but they were observing this for some time. The Alley man was a courier and if you frequented this pub you would be aware that you could purchase drugs here.

lots to think about and when you take all of this together you start to see that it was not only Claudia was complex.
In addition we now know that Heworth was not the most desirable area of York but even after Claudia went missing, some of her friends decided to stay put in this manor. Perhaps because they had continuing business interests in the area of a lucrative nature?

I have just "walked" from Claudia's home on Heworth Road using Google Earth, hopefully keeping true to the walk she would have done whilst her car was unavailable. Oh, my! I have forgotten how narrow the roads are and how close to the sidewalks there are parking bays. Although the actual Google route is mapped during daylight hours and during summer so all the trees and bushes are in full bloom, when Claudia walked to work it must have been dark, desolate and uninviting. There are numerous places where someone could lay in wait for an unsuspecting victim, whether known to them or not, and with the aid of a rag soaked in chlorophyll (???), perhaps obtained from the Chemistry lab from the University (Do they have a Chemistry Department?), easily overpower someone. More to follow
"Parking Bays" a very British word.
"Parking Lots" fits better with The American reference of "sidewalks" @Jude Merlin.
Does your reference to the Chemistry department have anything to do with Claudias friend who often gave her a lift-Michael Snelling?

I would like to hear about Claudia from her friend Liz from Malton who she stayed in regular touch with and was texting CL on the evening of the 18th March. Surely Liz would provide a balanced account of Claudia's life as she knew her, without the need to conceal or speak defensively. Claudia might have shared things with Liz that she wouldn't share with Heworth 'friends'.

Or parking bays as in driveways perhaps?

Hi @MajorLang We have heard it said by members on here that the persons of interest in this case belonged to a certain community. A community you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of. This was always left fairly open-ended and could have implied groups such as freemasons or travellers, for example. Do you think this new information mentioned in your post suggests a community involved with drugs? Would this explain the code of silence and the fear of speaking out?

The drugs like was huge. I di believe that drug squad undercover or NCO operatives were surveilling the Nags and the group. The 35 year old caller at Claudias two days before her dissapearsance was likely undercover- did they also disappears?

Agreed liz would have been ‘ consulted’ by nyp but I bet she would have been advised not to talk to anyone friends / papers probably even family !
Because the police do not have a clue and are or have been suspecting Everyone !
Why should she tell a complete stranger Yozzer anything.?
Nothing personal okay Yozzer ? I think you know what I’m getting at
For example Claudia might and I repeat might have had a tattoo on her body the police did not want the public to know ?!

If any of this is true could explain the speed with which police acted on news of her disappearance.
This is one reason I personally believe all drugs should be legalised but I digress

I agree she was not picked up on CCTV that day. If she had got as far as the Post Office on Melrose Street, which covers BOTH sides of the road (see footage of supposedly her posting letter the previous day), but there are numerous, darker places to abduct anyone walking that route.
Or picked up for a lift to work before the post office camera .
And since the police believed she set off to work that morning they must have found a ‘window’ of opportunity for her to do so without being caught by cctv

I wasn't suggesting we get Liz on here to speak!
I think she has chosen to stay out of the limelight or hasn't pushed herself forward as others have. I saw one short clip of her speaking shortly after Claudia's disappearance on an ITN news video saying that she had not picked up anything unusual in Claudia's demeanour from her texts. It would be good to hear more from her but perhaps she has reasons to stay quiet and let others do the talking......

Really? Presumably this was the initial investigation you are referring to as the cold case lead thought very differently.

I bet Liz would have shared ALL she knew with her father and the police and I’m afraid
It’s none of our business !

Then @Popejohn3 Is any of the evidence or comments from friends in this case any of our business and shall we all just pack up and go away-Letting the guilty get off with murder? Of course it is the Police job to get a result but they can and always do get help from the public

Maybe our American friend can give lt columbo a bell, he solves the most complex cases imaginable, usually inside 2 hrs, that would get the alarm bells ringing in heworth
