In fact, I've seen wfgodot's version of the quick poll on other threads, let's try it.... see if you can place these options 1-8 (or as far as you can go) and please feel free to add other options.

__ Planned AWOL - Corrie is fine and being harboured by a friend/relative
4__ Spontaneous AWOL - something happened that night and while he's fine he's opted out for a while
__ Suicide - fed up, bad night, Corrie decided he'd had enough, got past the CCTV and ..........
__ Random abduction - snatched or lured off the street by a random stranger
__ Terrorism - taken by extremists to be used for political propaganda
2__ Hook up - Tinder/Grindr/other meet up, prearranged, went badly wrong
_3_ Accident/assault - Corrie killed accidentally, body taken, cover up
_1_ Natural accident / demise - he got past the CCTV and fell into a ditch/river/got lost in woods etc

I haven't rated the other options as I believe them to be all as unlikely as each other

I have to be honest, I've done it. I've rolled out of the Sports and Social club at 0200 and 'borrowed' a bike to get back to the MQ's only to be stopped by the police. I tried to convince them that it was mine for ages until they pointed out that it was a child's bike with stabilisers and tassels on the handlebars lol. :/

Hilarious! And what incredible police officers we've got!

On a serious note though, it's a good suggestion.

ETA: wouldn't cameras or witnesses have picked this up, though, as suffolksteve noted?

Well for me there are two not so subtle digs in that article but of course they aren't in quotes. MOO. <modsnip>

If their are digs I'd perhaps think he's not on board with the openness of Nicolas side of the family. He's highly praised the police and the job their doing (moo)

I've reread and I've got the digs

That fits with the story as explained to me. The main reason for not thinking it was an abduction is because the victim could have called into the nearby shops for help, but instead he went back to base and reported it.
And blows a few theories away in this case!

I just want to wish everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas. It's hard to believe Corrie has been missing nearly 3 months, I am praying there's news soon x

Any discrepancies please let me know. Many thanks in advance.

Christmas without Corrie - article in Fife Today about Corrie's dad & grandparents.

Mary told the Fife Herald how she and Oliver had put up a five-figure sum as a reward for information leading to the safe return of Corrie almost as soon as he went missing.

this statement seems very odd to me, both rewards went public in about week 9 or 10 I think, was Nicola trying to keep the grandparents reward quiet, I can do better then you 50k from unknown , I suspect that is family money put together to out do the grandparents, IMO , <modsnip>

That is odd, not much point in a reward if you don't tell anyone about it.

Having said that as these large amounts if money have had absolutely no effect as far as we know I don't think anything was harmed by not going public sooner. I can see Nicola's pov, they could have been distracted by false claims of people trying to get the reward in the early days

I just want to wish everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas. It's hard to believe Corrie has been missing nearly 3 months, I am praying there's news soon x

Thanks so much. Merry Christmas to all.

Hope that Corrie and all missing people are reunited with their families.

Interesting that the Grandmother feels that Corrie has been abducted, while there doesn't seem to be any information in the public domain at least to suggest that.

I think it's probably just a unwillingness to believe or accept any of the other options. They won't want to believe he's left them of his own volition, they won't want to accept he did anything wrong. Abduction is the preferred scenario in terms of it not being Corrie's fault, and if we believe he left by vehicle then someone knows. And that someone hasn't come forward for whatever reason, probably not a nice reason.

This must be hard for you and the rest of your friends that know Corrie, I hope you all raise a glass to him this Christmas. There will be lots of people thinking of him up there in Scotland, down here in England*, and all over the world.

* and not forgetting Wales & NI, been told off for that before lol!
