...another thought...
I wonder if Corrie was trying to sort a lift out to BM from an OFF GOING taxi driver? Pick up point being the 'Horseshoe'?. Off duty taxi follows bin lorry. Taxi driver drops Corrie off in BM/M and continues on his merry way home within that area? How many taxi drivers remember the faces of punters?
Unless he's in an airtight container, I think the smell would have been noticeable a looooooong long time ago. Not expecting this to be productive (MOO)
Hi folks. What a fascinating investigation this story has provided. I can't sit back and just read anymore!
The Google Streetview of the Horseshoe - has anyone mentioned the bicycle racks that are in very close proximity to the area that Corrie appears to be distracted by in his final CCTV appearance?
Does anyone else find this highly coincidental - seeing as we have someone currently outstanding that also happens to be a cyclist?
From the timeline it appears the cyclist appears later in the morning - but we are only working off the images we have been given access to. Has he avoided certain cameras but re-appeared later? I wonder if this individual appeared on more CCTV closer to Cornhill shopping centre. His actual routeand movements should be of great interest.
Also, earlier in the thread, somebody quite rightly pointed out the specific use of the word "vehicles" by the Uncle - one of which we know to be the dustbin lorry. Is it too far out to assume a bicycle can be described as a vehicle and one of the other outstanding 3 that were identified - but we don't know about? No one (uncle) has revealed what the other 3 actually were. Maybe.
I'm afraid I can't help think that the way Corrie is looking around and wandering over in his last CCTV sighting - was there any bicycles locked up there at the time?? Would be difficult to ascertain from what we have.
The cyclist definitely needs collaring to rule himself out of the investigation. Because to be honest, just what was this guy doing at 3-4-5 o'clock in the morning - on what looks like a specialist bike - with no helmet or what appears to be any cycling gear. Cycled to work maybe? But no reflective clothing. If he did cycle to work - where does he work? This will be high on the investigators priorities - at least I hope it is!!!
Failing that, if the man is completely unconnected - did Corrie spot another means of transport to get home? Again, unlikely - you can't really leave a bike without it being locked up in a town centre.
Has Corrie got into an altercation regarding a bike? Did Corrie walk out of the horseshoe but with head injuries? Possible but unlikely.
Is the man dressed in black - who is referred to as "hiding man" when the second "running man" came past the horseshoe the same man as cycling man? (Also dressed in black
- head to toe)
I feel the man in the picture sitting on the bicycle leaning into the black car in the town centre appearing to speak to the driver needs the attention - especially seeing as I have read the person in the car has been identified, spoke to and "WE" have no information about what the driver said about the cyclist.
The police of course will know what this driver said - if anything at all - but you'd think the driver would have something to say about it.
Not entirely sure how the cyclist hasn't been identified and questioned yet. But he looks out of place and out of the ordinary for a town centre night to me.
I still don't understand why he sat in Hughes doorway when, almost directly opposite, outside Greggs is a nice comfy bench.
I just don't get this obsession with him meeting up with someone. First it was the sexuality assumptions taking us to Grindr and now its liaisons at the garbage bins. Come on folks. No proof of that at all. He had used dating apps but that does not mean he is looking for sex 24/7. If he was going to meet up why waste so much time drinking in clubs and passing out on the sidewalk? He could have set up dates at 8 pm and so on. You do not pass out on a side walk after a bender, wake up and stumble down the street thinking, wow i need to hook up for sex...it is clear he headed for the bins for a leak. where he was going after that is a guess. If you want to meet up you give a better landmark, like I am standing in front of McDonalds or something. I hardly think a man who has drunk as much as he has, is in any mood now to have a quickie. That would have been more likely before he passed out.
Are there after hours places in BSE?
Does McDonalds stay open all night, or are there cafes that serve all night?
Could someone put the latest pic next to the 0321 cornhill pic for comparison? Also why no other street cam views of this guy? Did he also vanish from cctv view?If the photo of man in white t shirt is in mama mia's he is an interesting lead. Do we know if anyone entered the HS before Corrie? Do we know if anyone entered the HS after Corrie?
He was drunk is the only logical answer.
Yes he could have set up dates earlier on in the night, or before he went out. He could have also set up dates after he was kicked out the club, whilst sitting in the doorway. How much time was he just hanging around town for after he got kicked out - I assume it was 2-3 hours. He must have been communicating with some people via his phone during that time.
I think meeting up with someone makes the most sense based on the 'facts' we have been given about the bin lorry, about CCTV, no witnesses, no DNA evidence. Which implies he left in a vehicle. And I believe it was most likely that he left in that vehicle willingly......though.......
I do agree with you that it doesn't seem the best place to be picked up from and I agree he went there to have a piss, so........
I'm trying to imagine a forced kidnapping into a vehicle and I struggle with it, unless it was maybe a random attack. If it was premeditated - the attackers did well at stalking him and knowing where he was going to go. If it was something like this - I'd assume there was a look-out watching Corrie's movements and then a person or person's in a vehicle which drove to the horseshoe when given information by the lookout, they then bundled him into a car. Though it's surprising no-one heard or saw a commotion. Though it seems there were still a fair few people walking around the town, maybe he could have been taken at a time nobody else was around. Could the lookout have been the running man?
Would also explain why nobody saw Corrie in the area....so he disappeared quite quickly after going there.
WOW and breathe lol (just kidding) we have had talks about the bicycle racks in earlier threads saying that reading what you have put made me think did Corrie take his bike and was spotted someone pointed this out and they went after Corrie in a Car to get the bike back the blokes attacks C and hurts him a bit to much OMG you got me at it now lol. Hello and welcome by the way
