Friends of a missing teenager from Anglesey say they want his graffiti tags to be preserved.

Frantisek "Frankie" Morris, 18, was last seen near the Vaynol Arms in Gwynedd on 2 May, a day after going to a rave at a disused quarry.

His friends say leaving his "crazy" tags at different locations in Bangor and Anglesey would provide "a little piece of Frankie" for his loved ones.

Bangor council said it would be up the owners of the daubed buildings.

But mayor Owen Hurcum added the council was open to discussing the matter.

You can remove wall paintings. It's usually a last resort, as most muralised art is site-specific and keeping it in its context is important culturally unless, say, the context itself is going to be destroyed. I think its a sweet gesture, but if his graffiti is very incongruous with the rural surroundings, removing it for display locally somewhere more appropriate might be a good compromise.

I cant help thinking that the calls to protect his graffiti so soon means that he has passed away and I cant help thinking
that is connected to the party in some way.

I was once involved in putting on party's via squatting or breaking into property's years ago. We would even squat in buildings to live in which is not as bad as it sounds on the whole. All of us were a closed lot with only certain information known between ourselves and some trusted friends who went to our parties.

So I think that the call to protect his graffiti work means that some info has leaked out from people who know what has happened and who were at that party. JMO

I wondered why he had such an unusual first name, Frantisek. Originally family seem to be from the Czech Republic.

The fundraiser for the various teams who have been searching for him has already almost reached its £5500 target.

His mum appears to be living there too. Some posts on the FB group say he’d been living in a hostel (supported accommodation for teenagers who can’t live with family) previously.

The family of missing teenager Frantisek "Frankie" Morris have pledged to find the "truth" about what happened to him almost three weeks on from his disappearance.

The popular 18-year-old, who vanished on Sunday, May 2, has not been found despite a major search involving police officers and volunteers.

Now, as the fourth week of his disappearance approaches, his family have said they will not to give up the search.

"Someone out there knows something and we will not stop searching until we find Frankie and the TRUTH of what’s happened."

Do you think it might have been pre-meditated, @LouTennant ?

I do not think is was premedicated as there has been an arrest for death by dangerous driving that was reported here earlier. On the rave scene there are some unsavoury characters, so mabe he was run over and killed by someone, who then decided to hide the body in the hope of avoiding the consequences. The person arrested for dangerous driving could have admitted to hitting Frankie, but then claimed that Frankie walked away? The police really need to find Frankie to find the answers.

I agree. It does depend on the specifics, but the longer it takes to find Frankie's body (assuming he's deceased, but I am tbh), the harder it will generally be for the post mortem to provide those answers, unfortunately.

Our investigations into the whereabouts of Frantisek “Frankie” Morris are continuing, and we are now appealing for the drivers of the vehicles in the attached images to contact us as soon as possible.

Chief Inspector Owain Llewelyn said: ‘We are currently exhausting every avenue in tracing Frankie’s movements on Sunday 2nd May. I would ask that if you were driving any of these vehicles in the village of Pentir, that you come forward as a matter of urgency.

‘Finally, I would like to thank Frankie’s family for their support during what is a very worrying and stressful time. Specialist officers continue to liaise closely with them.’

Please contact the investigation team directly at Public Portal

Does anyone know how CL relates to Frankie? She doesn’t seem to be parent or stepparent; seems to be very close to the family yet the other family members have now significantly withdrawn from the FB group.

At a rough guess, I think she is related on the Morris side - maybe an aunt or cousin of FM.

I see in the comments someone reckons they might be able to look more closely at the number plate with a bit of software. You would think the police could do this. I see on the new appeal of the vehicles there are some differences with the old appeals. A motorbike has been added and a long red car and agriculture vehicle taken off, so obviously some of the owners of these vehicles have come forward.

You don’t get arrested for death by dangerous driving and the person that you hit gets up and walks away
The clue is in the wording- Death by Dangerous

In a the following hypothetical situation do you think that the police could have charged the dangerous driver?

Just say the police gets a tip off that a driver had hit Frankie. Upon questioning the driver he denies it all or instead says that he hit Frankie who was wounded but then walked off. (The two other people arrested for perverting the course of justice could have disposed of the van.)

Could the police have charged the driver from a tip off but no hard evidence?

The police have not stated the details into what grounds the 3 were arrested. I personally think they are guilty and the police need the body for a conviction. JMO

I can’t help but think that money would be better spent going on a reward for whoever provides information that leads to a conviction...

Well it is nice they want to thank the search teams. I am not sure how often these reward offers lead to convictions? Possibly not able to do that through G. F.M anyway. And bear in mind, there may be much more behind the scenes going on and known.

Mountain rescuers have taken part in the ongoing search for Frankie Morris three weeks after the Anglesey teenager’s disappearance.

The 18-year-old from Llandegfan was last seen walking in Pentir, near Bangor, at around 1.20pm on 2nd May.

He had been among partygoers at a rave the night before and has not been seen since.

Members of the Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team were among those who took part in searches yesterday, exactly three weeks after he was last seen.

The detective from north Wales CID phoned today. I told him everything I remembered but I was just 2 hours early to have seen anything.

I rode the exact route, past The Vaynol Arms, down over the bridge etc
