Blank spot in browsing history

“Browsing history on a computer would be found in the cache area. “On this occasion mainly google chrome was being used as the browser. “Google Chrome doesn’t have just one set of folders for browsing history. “Browsing history shows where people have been in the past. It can be, and sometimes is, deleted by a user with a degree of simplicity. “On this Asus laptop the browsing history didn’t appear to be intact at all. “There was no browsing history on this Asus laptop between April 9 and April 15. “There was no indication of any activity on the computer at all between these two dates.”

Does he mean just internet activity or any activity at all? Sure just internet?

ETA: just checked Chrome's data settings. It sounds like IS used the option to delete all browser history for "the last week". You can choose from the past hour, day, week, 4 weeks or from the beginning of time (!!)

I think the phrase "not intact" tells us that the history for this period had been wiped.

It sounds to me like browsing history. It's as though he's deleted a specific timeframe and not all of the history. What a bumbling idiot if this is the case

Indeed as per my edited post above, looks like he just chose to delete "the past week". But he did it on the 15th. What the heck was he searching? "How long does it take a cess pit to consume a body?"

And all the bank account visits?

User activity no longer available

“We used specialist software to recover data that has been deleted or is no longer held - this flagged up activity on April 11, which seemed strange because there was no indication of any user activity between April 9 - April 15. “There was evidence of substantial user activity on these dates, but this was no longer available or had been deleted.”

Well that's him in even deeper s**t

Computer logs 'turned off'

DC France continues: “Event logs on the Microsoft system log activity relating to user log in, updates, security issues, network connections and so on. “They can be deleted or can be turned off. “The logs themselves, I examined 130 of them, most of them were empty but on all of the logs I viewed, activity stopped over periods of time. “The first time the logs stopped was on March 13, nothing was logged until 15 March, then turned off until 21 March and turned off again until April 17. “I’ve never seen event logs do that in that way, unless they’re actually turned off and on again. “But normally that in itself is recorded in the logs, but there is no record of this.”

Looks like he was going to some lengths to hide his activity even back in March...

He's just so stupid I can't believe it. He's covered his tracks with giant neon signs that say 'IT WAS ME I KILLED HER' as far as I'm concerned....

Barclays transaction deleted - officer

“What we can say for certain is that the browsing history is gone on this computer. “Barclays records show a transaction by a computer in the same form as what we found little parts of in this computer. “These little parts of data in the computer are all that remain of something that has been deleted. “We won’t find the full transaction about what happened at Barclays on that computer, because it’s been deleted.”

Tiredness featured in conversations

“We discovered those searches to tiredness, but also other occasions where the word ‘tired’ appeared to feature. “We saw messaging carried out over the Apple iMessaging system. “In July 2012 there’s a whole raft of them [mentions to being tired]. “Mentions of ‘Getting tired’ and ‘you sounded tired on the phone’ are found in a conversation between Stewart and Helen.”

We heard previously that “Although an attempt has been made to clear computer history at the house, this small fragment of information was found.”

Now we hear, “We discovered those searches to tiredness, but also other occasions where the word ‘tired’ appeared to feature. “We saw messaging carried out over the Apple iMessaging system. “In July 2012 there’s a whole raft of them [mentions to being tired].

...and so we see the evidence (hidden) of his planning for this crime. Utterly cold premeditated murder.

Hope he rots in a pit of despair and self loathing for the rest of his life.

context again

Eileen:Helen was on the beach at Broadstairs and suddenly found that when she tried to get off the beach...Eileen said she couldn’t be certain of when Helen left Boris on the beach. She admits that while Stewart was in hospital, Helen was complaining she was feeling ‘constantly tired’.

March 18, 2016. IS operation
March 25 consultant discharged him from hospital

Helen Bailey complained about falling asleep

A number of web pages were made by Helen between 7.34pm and 10.51pm on the evening of April 8, 2016. The searches related to ‘Mumsnet fell asleep afternoon’ ‘falling asleep in the afternoon’ ‘can’t stop falling asleep’ ‘I’m so tired falling asleep at work’.

I wonder if HB actually had a mumsnet account and posted about this. Can we find her mumsnet account? I presume she had one if she was searching the forum for clues. Maybe she even posted on there about this problem.

April 15 was the first police visit. At this point, I think IS realises that they were going to be a bit more thorough than he had planned for. Time to delete.

The fragment was to do with the financial transaction, not the tiredness comments.

The searches were on Helen's ipad. It's IS's computer that has been wiped.
