Yeah he's probably hoping they'll find him not guilty of murder but guilty of the lesser charges he's charged with like preventing lawful burial and perverting the course of justice.

“The trouble is for them there is considerable direct and circumstantial evidence that that is not true. “There is considerable evidence Helen was alive and well long after 11am on April 11.

“Her death did not occur much later in the month of April after it was reported in the press that police had searched the Royston house, including draining the cess pit.

“There is evidence that is still unshaken, despite the Crown’s best evidence to shift those witnesses from their position. “The lynch in the prosecution’s case has disappeared, because Helen was not killed in the morning of April 11.”

I'm also frustrated that the cadaver dog evidence appears to have been dismissed by both the Prosecution and Defence in their summing up. Powerful evidence Helen was killed inside the house, that destroys the Nick and Joe fantasy, surely? I sincerely hope the Judge reminds the jury of it.

So he's asking us to beleive that Nick & Joe had seen the cess pit, whilst also asking us to consider that IS panicked and put her in the cess pit and made up Nick & Joe?
