I also feel sorry for Tabak's family and his girlfriend, he lied and manipulated them too.

So do I - especially his elderly mother. His family have been through the extreme anguish of seeing him imprisoned, tried and sentenced in a foreign country. I fear they will be asking themselves what they did wrong.

I think the move to continue withholding VT's history may be connected with investigations into similar crimes in the Netherlands and the US.

"Het DNA van T. zal ook naar de Nederlandse en Amerikaanse politie worden gestuurd voor eventuele matches bij andere seksmisdaden, zo meldt Sky News."

http://www.telegraaf.nl/binnenland/10811351/__Vincent_T._krijgt_levenslang__.html?p=7,1

"The DNA from T. will also be sent to Dutch and American police for eventual [potential] matches to other sex crimes, according to Sky News"

Not seen this mentioned, but A&S Police haven't spoken to Tanja since his arrest, has she left the UK?

Finally I understand what happened to the sock. It was a long sock and some of the *advertiser censored* that VT watched included gagging while suffocating. This was no 20 second murder. I too believe he took the pizza and ate it. I suspect that there may be other victims, most likely in the US, as VT was only back in Bristol for six days when he couldn't control himself anymore and committed murder.

What I find haunting is that the reality was far more horrific than any of us imagined. Some thought Jo let in a shy and friendly neighbor and a brief misunderstanding let to a death that took only seconds. A merciful viewpoint to be sure.

Others of us felt VT was caught in the apartment, or somehow became enraged and things escalated... but the idea that Jo walked into a murder trap in her own home...where a sexual pervert had planned to pleasure himself by observing her pain and subsequent demise...is truly hideous. I hope it was over quickly for her and she did not endure a longer period in his control than we have even guessed.

I am incensed that this Monster might have been sent back into the community in a few years..with many believing he was just a fine man..an inexperienced awkward young man....but a "victim" of this "accident" as well. Where is the concern for public welfare?

He was not "traumatized" driving about with her body in the trunk...he was aroused and enthralled. His fantasies were playing out. There is no question , other women would be at risk. Yet this judge took that risk with public safety and with justice for a young woman who died not a SWIFT death....but a sadistic death watching the rapture of her killer in her last moments.

The last thirty minutes of her life must have been horrific with those 43 injuries occurring as she struggled for her life. I'm stunned at how brutal and violent this was. The more she struggled for her life, the more he would have enjoyed taking it.

I guess the next move will be to have VT transferred to the Netherlands so he can be closer to his family. He should be permanently incarcerated.

Yes, me too. There's all sorts of support given or available for victims and their families, and none for the accused person's family- who are victims themselves too in a way. I feel so sorry for them, dragged into all this and then having to live with the fact that they're related to or been sleeping with a monster. Thank God Tanja hadn't got round to marrying or having a kid with him.

Well at least one thing has now been confirmed as true - the inside info posted on Facebook. The info said that police had found things to do with erotic asphyxiation (sorry, think I've spelt that wrong but no way am I googling THAT whilst on my work laptop lol) on his computer. A & S told the admin on that FB site to remove the posts.

I had considered that before Otto, but no fibres found over or on her mouth were presented as DNA evidence. I still think it might have been taken as a masturbation aid (sorry folks for the graphic description).

However I agree that the incident, and the 40+ resulting injuries came from a process that took far longer than 20 seconds. Far, far longer (sadly.) The manner of death might have happened fairly quickly but I believe poor Jo was subjected to a longer lasting attack.

I knew information had been removed from FB, but didn't know what it was. Thank you.

I see that someone tweeted about the *advertiser censored* information during the trial and is being referred to the Attourney General. Maybe that is how the info got on Facebook

God knows what he was up to in her flat and bedroom after he killed her, and in his own bedroom with her body too. I just hope to God poor Jo was dead by that point and was at least saved from witnessing any further perversions he might have been up to, and I'm sure now he was up to some.

I can't get my head around this. It's one of the more horrific murders I've ever encountered. VT is a predator that enjoys the suffering of others - the more they suffer, the better he feels.

I bet it wasn't just normal internet dating sites he was on either. I wouldn't be surprised if he was on a few "specialist" encounter sites too.

I had a brief go at internet dating once. I always Googled prospective "Mr Right's" usernames, and I'm sorry to say more often than not up their username popped -on some unsavoury type of dating site. With what we know about him now I'm in no doubt he'll have dabbled on a few of those.

Yes I feel aggrieved that so much consideration was given to him having a 'fair trial' and not much to what the consequences of that consideration would be to public safety should he have not been found guilty of murder - I would like to think the judge would have given him a hefty sentance either way.
