Regards the secret outing on 14th .. it doesn't sound like anything "new" as got in from work , changed , and out again in 15 min
And why so quick ? An hour ? sounds like someone had to be back home almost or it was a meeting to try and clear the air regards a failed relationship? Could this be why she went to her room and ordered takeaway rather than eat with family?

I don't think that was the first time she met whoever she met that night, but we also don't know how long the alleged affair with AC went on for/when it ended. It's possible that by this point she already moved onto someone else. The fact that the police have ruled out AC makes me think that he must have a pretty tight alibi, since the secret ex boyfriend would typically be the number one suspect.

Not that I feel the ex is definitely involved at all ..anything could have happened we just don't have enough information
But I'd be surprised if he has been totally ruled out yet. The judge herself said "as yet" there is no evidence to support your theory.

My gut feeling is that she went out to meet the married boyfriend (why else would she have lied to her parents as to where she was going) but he was a no show - or he blew her off - on Valentine's day, which precipitated a crisis .Turning off the location feature on her phone makes me wonder if she was headed to his house for a show down...

Yes it is quite difficult to believe she would be in another relationship she had to be so secretive around ...I think its possible that a "crisis" around the night before carried on by phone after 08.30 15th upsetting her so much she didn't go into work hence the "possible sightings" later in the morning..

Is it possible that she swapped sims rather than turned off her phone ? Or altered settings
Maybe the times she was known to switch off were actually the times she was speaking to someone else
It's also possible that the other person got her the sim and insisted she use it to contact them

If the sim had been changed, then the phone number would also have changed. It wouldn't show up as turning off location services.

There was a video appeal from a police officer and he said that the location service change could have happened due to a change in an app's settings. I can't remember now, did the location services turn back on again? Could some kind of app have a need for location settings and pausing or updating the app would remove the instruction to the phone to have location settings on? I don't know the answer to that, only that some apps will request permission to access location services and I have no idea what would happen to location services if that permission was temporarily revoked?

I believe if a phone's sim card has been changed, then police could get a warrant to search for activity of the IMEI number associated with the phone (as opposed for searching for the phone number) but I don't know if that is automatic in a search warrant for phone activity. @Angleterre do you know the answer to this?

Interesting info thanks

So I'm getting conflicting information, do we know if the relationship with AC was ongoing at time of disappearance as I thought I'd read it had ended sometime ago? I know mum said in an interview they found out after disappearance she was seeing someone on the downlow but it wasn't clear if that person was AC or someone new. She did say whoever it was had been spoken to by police but no mention of suspect or person of interest- sounds like they are ruled out?

As someone said upthread, married older ex/current boyfriend is going to be suspect number 1 surely the police have been all over him like flies on ****, his alibi has got to be pretty rock solid if they've ruled him out. Of course there is a possibility someone connected to him could be involved but I'd imagine they've covered that angle. I really hope this doesn't turn out to be a "we know who it is but have no evidence" situation.

I'm just thinking Occam's razor all the time....

For me it's a conflicting one .. of course we have no reason to think the ex is involved and according to police he has been investigated...but that doesn't neccesarily mean rules out ..as no one been totally ruled out ...surely the only people who would 100% know if anything was still going on ..whether it be amicable or not would be leah and her ex especially if using phones or sims not known
I haven't seen any official confirmation from police of the state of their relationship I don't think ..but could be wrong
For me why I struggle why still meeting someone in secret ? If she did of course ..but she went somewhere secret

I hope I am wrong but I belive actually the police know exactly who to look at but there's no proof, jmo I hope I'm wrong. Moo.
Wondering that myself. According to her brother, she was still with a married man on Valentines day... that seems to have the title as 'ex' he corrected somebody that stated 'ex' and said "sorry but they were still together on Valentines day" that he had seen messages, that the man was abusive to her and in his opinion groomed her and mistreated her, the brother took a voluntary injunction order to not go within 25 yards of that guy or into the Knowhill area, I find it interesting that he is banished from that area, the area that she worked in...maybe it suggests that guy in question also lives or works in that area. Maybe explains where she went for the 75 minutes she was unaccounted for on Valentines day
