Hi guys I haven't posted in a while as, well, had nothing to input lol, just catching up and seeing the discussion about her tae kwando and so she would be able to defend herself etc. So can I ask the people who believe she could defend herself what their take on this is? What do you think happened? I'm so stumped.

Just stating my opinion, that the above does not make someone invincible or not be able to succumb to a attack. With no evidence been released that condradicts this either way I am keeping an open mind.

My understanding of championships is that they have set beginnings and rules. I’m not sure how effective the martial arts are if someone that doesn’t seem menacing tries to sucker punch you.

Can I ask why the police are showing her distinctive clothing surly if someone has them they will now make sure they will never be found

It is possible, but there has been no activity in her bank account, phone or social media. She also hasn't been in contact with any friends or family members. If she just wanted to change jobs, wouldn't she have told someone?

I didn't mean change jobs, just a 'I'm naffed off with work and other stuff spur of the moment thing'

Just reading the latest report released on the Thames Valley Police website:

Re-appeal for information to find missing woman-Milton Keynes

And found the following information regarding the areas that searches are being carried out in, a little odd.

"This week we have continued searches in Furzton, Shenley Lodge, Shenley Woods, Knowlhill and Bradville. Specialist search officers along with the National Police Air Service (NPAS) and mounted officers have been involved in this search activity."

Furzton, Shenley Lodge, Shenley Woods and Knowlhill are all in the same area of Milton Keynes and connected:

But Bradville is the other side of Milton Keynes and not connected to the other areas in any way:

Peole find odd bits of clothing all the time...maybe they dispose of it or keep it or drop it in a charity bin. Police should circulate clothing facsimiles along with initial missing alerts in all cases, when possible. Too late now, probably. Jmo

Maybe there's been a sighting of her reported in that area, there might be a POI in that area, something that might belong to her could have turned up there? It's a bit strange to be searching one area so far away from where she was last seen.

I can't understand why pics of what she was wearing weren't released early on. In the stills and cctv you can't see that very distinctive and limited number hoodie, so if it had been seen somewhere or on someone else early on, no one would have batted an eyelid.

There is still the possibility that Leah has gone off grid for her own reasons, but the lack of activity in her bank account worries me.

Firstly, let me stress that "could" defend herself is not the same as "did". Leah is 5'2" and looks young so I think I would be more likely to notice someone like her if there was a commotion, as she would seem vulnerable. No-one has reported anything like that, so it makes me wonder if some other means was used.

There was a case years ago where a young man rushed up to a woman saying his girlfriend was in labour and needed help. She followed him into the building whereupon he attacked her and left her for dead. This was before everyone had a mobile phone, so I'm not sure whether that trick would work these days. My initial thought was that someone had managed to restrain her and dragged her into their backyard/house.
However, the searches with dogs seem to have taken place fairly quickly, so they would have tracked her to a specific location if that is what happened to her.

As others have said, a sucker punch, taser, rock etc. could have been used, but that doesn't always render a person unconscious and there is still the problem of moving her quickly. There will almost certainly be a vehicle involved in this scenario but again, no-one saw anything. It is around 8.20 am, the middle of the morning commute, which frustrates me with any abduction theory.

Another possibility is Leah either met someone or accepted a lift. If so, bearing in mind she was on her way to work, it wouldn't have been long before she realized the driver was not heading in the right direction. Would she have tried to make the driver stop? I don't know.

I have not looked into the possibility of her doing herself harm because there hasn't been any suggestion of her being depressed or worried about anything, although I know people don't always show what's going on inside. Again, if this is the case, wouldn't there have been further sightings and why haven't the dogs found her?

This is a really odd case.

Watching the CCTV of her walking through the park, I can’t help thinking that the man walking behind her has something to do with it, perhaps surprised her from behind, dragged her somewhere?

That CCTV was from the 14th, the day before.

But could that have been a dry run? Scoping out her path. Seeing where the best opportunity would be to strike? Then returning the following day, the 15th, to carry out the 'plan'? Whatever the heck has gone down in this, I'm too worried that this is not a young woman who decided to go away. Not by her own volition.

Sorry I had no idea, can anyone clarify where/ how the final sighting was and by whom? I am now confused, I thought the cctv of entering the building was 14th and the outdoor park footage was 15th?
Thanks.

As far as I know there are 3 sets of CCTV:

1) Libby walking down the path off Rutherford Gate on morning of 14th
2) Libby clocking in at work on morning of 14th
3) Libby crossing over Buzzacott Lane at 8:15am on 15th (I've only seen a still of this)

LEAH! Leah! Not Libby

So sorry everyone... sorry Leah.

Will see if I can get a mod to change it.

:(

Maybe you can edit this post, and report to delete the other? Funny, I knew "who" you meant. I even read it as Leah...

I've alerted a mod. It's not the first time I've done it, annoyed with myself, rude!

Right. I've had a nice walk and thought I'd jot down my impressions before I head out for the evening:

I parked at the lake and walked to Buzzacot and back, then up to the footpath behind Farraday. As the locals have mentioned, it's all very open. For most of the walk you're very close to houses and I'd have thought that a scream or sounds of a struggle would've been noted.

The only place I felt isolated was the short bit of bridleway between the Buzzacot CCTV house and Dulverton - it's sheltered and quiet, with the school on one side and the church on the other. However, I was walking at midday on a Saturday - on a Friday morning I could also see the path from the little bridge all the way to the underpass into Shenley Lodge being deserted.

I kept an eye out for CCTV cameras, though I realise the police will have the lot anyway, by now. There are actually two on the footpath behind Farraday, on adjacent buildings so I doubt the footage would be any different. There is one on Bilbrook, just before the road turns away from the lake that could catch the top of someones head if you're luck (probably not someone who's 5'2"). Frustratingly, there's one on the last big house before the little bridge that would get the path if they had it pointed at their garden/back fence, but it's pointing down at their patio (which is the sensible way to point it for home security, tbf). Interestingly, there is a hefty one on the side of Lakeside House, pointing down the drive to the lake. I would have though it could pick up people on the path, assuming it was on and working so I wonder if there's CCTV that's not been released.

It was a lovely day for a walk, and there were quite a few families out around the lake, enjoying the sunshine. The many missing posters are the only reminders of the ongoing worry.
