Have you ever been that drunk?

Thinking doesn't come into it, it's more instinct.

Yes, just Friday!

There's really no predicting what someone will think and do in that state. I do see a difference between how the males and females in my group behave when that drunk. The males tend to slope of quietly somewhere and if possible have a kip. Whereas the females tend to not realise how drunk they are, still keep drinking if they are able and still want to go on to the next party, or at least company with a party atmosphere

I drove past Cottingham road Beverley Road junction a couple of hours ago taking care to make a mental note of CCTV cameras between the Clough road side and half way up Newland Avenue.

CCTV at Clough Road/Beverley Road junction*, Lidl car park, Gardeners Arms pub, Credit Crunch Shop, Newland Avenue/Cottingham Rd junction*, Tesco, Sidmouth Street/Newland ave junction* and Alexander Road/Newland Ave junction*.

(* council/police force cameras)

There is no doubt in my mind that whichever way the car turned after exiting Haworth street, it has been seen.

On another note I keep seeing in this thread posts mentioning Libby getting in to the car. Have the police now confirmed it was definitely a person getting in?

Seeing these photos I can't believe how much 'brush' or whatever it's called is in that area. It's like they're searching for a needle in a haystack.

Yep there's a lot. Much of it looks like brambles so very nasty and hard to get through. I looked up the size of the fields and apparently, it's 75 acres. Even if the scrub is only around the edges that's a large area of almost impenetrable vegetation to search.

If she has been murdered via strangulation, for example, there is likely no blood. Isn't it possible he sat (or kept) her in the passenger seat to avoid transfer of DNA to other parts of the car like the boot, and driven her out of Hull somewhere remote, possibly on his familiar route to Malton? There are ample woods all over the place, some not easily accessible by foot, that he's definitely sighted on his commute to and from work. Why do the police seem to have discounted his having travelled further afield than the park? Do they have more CCTV evidence of his car having still been local? Did his wife tell police he was home too soon to have gone far?

After reading that I'm inclined to think what someone else posted..3am is the time PR arrived home.

Assuming his wife confirmed this or they have him on cctv near his home at that time.

If police are interested in dash cam footage of the area where Libby disappeared between 11PM and 3AM, that typically means that the "incident" ends at 3AM.

Reasons offered for this particular time are that she was reported missing at 3AM, and that the suspect arrived home at 3AM.

If it has never been reported that her flatmates reported her missing at 3AM, the the 3AM time comes from police and relates directly to Libby.

My first post on Libby but have been following. When posters refer to her being on the bench, opposite a takeaway, can I ask which takeaway they are meaning please? It confuses me as I cannot see one.

Maybe they have his phone and know how far he went from signals it received.

It seems the police are really going for the Oak Road Playing Field. I hope it’s a case of they know something and being a matter of time rather than the trail going cold.

I don’t know the set-up of the minor rivers to the main Humber and I’ve not had opportunity to scope through every page on this thread. But no way should someone in this day and age be able to fall in and be lost to the sea just like that. There should be an appropriate sized mesh or something else installed.

I have never seen a link to Libby stepping into a car. I have read that the suspect's sister said that Libby got into the car, but have not seen a link that she got into a car at 12:08. I have read that she was missing at 12:09.

Let's suppose that your friends were so pissed that they sent you home alone when you couldn't even stand up or make a sentence? Would they alert police as soon as they walked in the door, or the next morning?

I don't know. Personally, if I sent a friend home in a taxi by themselves because they were so drunk they couldn't make a sentence and I hadn't got a text/FB message saying they were home, I'd check to see if they were in their room. And if they weren't I'd be phoning around and contacting police pretty quickly.

I guess it depends on how drunk she was/how drunk she appeared to her friends? There's the description of her stumbling outside her house, but the alcohol might not have fully kicked in when she was with her friends. It also probably depends on how drunk her friends were when they got home.

Thanks for doing this, really helpful! So basically, whether he turned left or right out of Haworth he'd have got clocked in either direction?

The police must have SO much more data from CCTV and his phone. Question is whether it marries up with what he's told them.

If we went together we leave together no matter what....

On spider cam I can clearly see someone getting into the passenger's seat of the car, and even reaching round to clip their belt in. Don't know if it's Libby, nor whose car it is

I don't feel like they are searching for Libby on there as feel they would have more man power or even dogs in a worst case scenario search.

Local to the area and as far as I know a lot of access to the river has steep banks so it wouldn't be an easy case of 'just falling in'. Especially if it was icy that night, would be harder to get up to the river, IMO.

Just a question...IF it was LS getting in the car AND she got in reasonably willingly...that’s not abduction is it? I agree the CCTV isn’t clear...sometimes when I watch it I think I can see a person getting in other times it looks like something else...& the police haven’t said it’s her.

What if she did leave the bench & has been seen on CCTV (as there a quite a few in the vicinity that would pick her up as other posters have referenced) heading towards her house. Let’s say she did make it home & that’s actually the scene of ‘crime’. Her Mum said she ‘was home...simple’ could be more weight to that than we think...the neighbour heard screams and a door banging so what if she was trying to get OUT of the house. She got home from the bench to find PR in her house up to his ‘weird tricks’ and panics and tries to flee. The police were seen checking the drains from/near to her house...perhaps a scent dog tracked her ‘scent’ to the park. The house could well have shown signs of a struggle and third party presence..could be why police arrested PR on suspicion of abduction as it looked like she’d been taken FROM her house..??

After death there would be bodily fluids even if no blood.

He would have to be REALLY stupid to take her anywhere related to his work

I wonder why police put flyers through his neighbours road though asking for any info but we have no reports of them putting flyers through Libby’s neighbours doors

Sorry to ask such a question but if a dead body had been in a car but no blood etc how long does it take police to find ‘traces’ in the car ?

Buddy system means that you never let friends wander off alone in the night when they are too drunk to drink, like never letting a buddy swim alone.

It doesn't really matter how drunk she appeared to friends,, or how drunk they were. It is a fact that they were sober enough to have another drink and she wasn't. That's a significant difference.
