Yep anyone can turn up, it's open court. There's no dress code, you won't be turned away for what you wear, and I've seen some pretty tasteless get ups! No one can say about getting a seat. It depends on the capacity of the room they use and the interest in the case. I can't see there being many people at this next hearing as he doesn't have a massive amount of family, there are few victims, although I appreciate it was horrible for their victims they're not considered major offences, they are not going to be picking through details at this next hearing. There will be a greater public interest because of his link to Libby. I would expect to see a couple of reporters and a moderate amount of members of the public
I know it's far more high profile but I often go to the Old Bailey as I find it interesting but sometimes very boring. Once in and through security barriers and searches there's a list of cases on walls and you're virtually alone walking the long corridors with courts on each side and can go in and out of different public galleries, above the courts, as you please, so long as you're quiet. I got bored sometimes so came out and went in another. If it's a high profile murder case that's in the news you'd have to get there very early as there'll be a queue with reporters etc allowed in first. Some cases are closed to the public. The most interesting case was a very old man, in his 80's, accused of murdering his wife and he was conducting his own defence and was a right character and very funny with it. Strangely the public gallery was almost empty. Heard on the news later in the week that he'd been found guilty.
