Relowicz accused of planning to take Libby to Oak Road

Mr Wright said: “You told police in your interview the only reason you went to Oak Road was because there was no one to turn on Beresford Avenue and that there was no where to turn around because there were cars and you wanted to stop near Ormond Avenue and Claremont Avenue.

“If you had wanted to stop there, you could have couldn’t you?”

Relowicz said: “I could have, yes that’s correct. I chose where I went.”

Relowicz says he went to turn around at Oak Road.

Mr Wright said: “You took her to the very place you went earlier that night to park your car and commit sexual offences didn’t you?”

He has responded: “That’s not true.”

Mr Wright said: “There was not a moment on that journey where you were driving slowly trying to find out where that girl lived was there?”

Relowicz has said he was asking Libby her address and she directed him to Beresford Avenue.

I was replying to someone else, not asking a question. At what point did the CCTV from the yeast factory catch them parked up?- I don’t think it could do, the yeast factory might have caught them driving down a nearby road, but not the lay-by or actually entering the park.
"Having thought the CCTV from the yeast factory showed the car arriving- and then searching and searching for something to confirm that- I couldn’t find anything. I’m not sure what was captured on the yeast factory, or which CCTV showed them arriving and leaving the park (I now think it was just a street camera caught them arriving very close to where they parked up)"

OK, you didn't overtly ask the question, but your post suggested that you hadn't read my earlier response which supplied the information that you say you couldn't find. So I repeated it:

12.42 on 13 Jan:
CCTV sited on a nearby yeast factory managed to capture Relowicz and Libby arriving and Relowicz leaving, Mr Wright said.

Relowicz denies knowing where he was taking Libby

Relowicz says he kept asking Libby for her address.

Mr Wright says the CCTV doesn’t show any hesitation in Relowicz’s driving.

He said: “I was trying to slow down at the junction and she said something like ‘over there.”

Mr Wright said: “These are lies you’re telling us aren’t they? You knew exactly where you were taking Libby Squire from the moment she got in your car.”

Relowicz denies this.

Also, if on the last visit when he claims to have gone out to look for her because he was worried about her, and let's say he did find her in the snow needing help...how would he have helped her without a phone? He wouldn't have been able to call an ambulance. o_O

'Five versions of what happened'

Mr Wright said: “I just want to be clear I’ve understood your evidence. I’m going to suggest to you that Monday was the first time the prosecution heard the events you gave to the jury. That the version of events is the fifth version of events that you have given Mr Relowicz.”

Relowicz said: “That’s the true version.”

Mr Wright said: “The one you gave for the first time during the trial in public? The one you gave having had the opportunity to look at all of the prosecution’s evidence?

"The one you’ve given I’m going to suggest to fit as best you can with the prosecution’s evidence."

I regularly use my phone's torch function at night. If I was going out looking for something/someone at night, I'd take it for that reason too.

This is really interesting and not a point I had thought of before but if you were trying to drive someone home and you you didn't know where they lived and could barely understand them (either by their being intoxicated or language barrier or even both) then surely you would have driven slowly at times or pulled over etc and not drive straight to the fields

Was the watch broken or not??????
No it wasn't. The jury got to try it right at the start of the trial. They got to see how the clasp worked.

If it's like a lot of metallic watches pressure round the arm might cause it to come undone but that's my guess as to how it could have come. It was a gold watch

because he couldn't find anything- that's what he said
he probably didn't find right person to masturbate maybe something was on his way for example men around ,maybe he likes particular type of woman (I don't know his sexual preferences)
maybe was too cold for him just hanging around and he preferred sitting in the car waiting for right victim? I don't know why he used car ,I guess it was more convenient ,giving him chance moving faster and search bigger area for" right " person?
why he didn't masturbate on front of Libby ? I don't know ,maybe he decided it is opportunity for something more than masturbation ? or maybe his excitement went down when he saw her crying (for a moment )and when they was sitting in the car he get randy again ?
I have no clue ,but I don't think so he was planning rape when he was driving around

I agree i think libby was horribly in the wrong place at the wrong time which is soul destroying....I think patrolling hours on end round the streets was a regular thing for him

Trial now resuming
Relowicz said: “I wanted to help because she wanted my help. I was thinking about taking her to the police station but I wasn’t sure what to tell them. I could only understand simple words like ‘hello’ ‘how are you?’ and ‘are you alright?’”

So that very night that he spent time on the sexy time *advertiser censored* chat must have been a very boring and limited chat then. JMO

No I know you answered when I asked, and no I didn’t ask the question that I just posted either, I was responding to another poster. It’s all a misunderstanding- although one I wish we knew the actual answer to, which is:
1. Was the parked car outside the park caught on CCTV, or was it just caught travelling towards there?
2. What actual physical place was caught on the yeast factory CCTV? Was it a road, the river bank or an aspect of the park?

I was wondering about a few days ago but having seen them going thru CCTV again with him on the stand I'm wondering whether it's coming up again with accompanied by step by step commentary .

What doesn't help is that they are keeping a lot of the CCTV footage back for some reason. There was a mention of CCTV on one or two of the Claremont houses as well, so it's impossible to tell what was seen by what camera.

I might be wrong but I believe that the yeast factory CCTV was the original one released by the police showing "running man" and the guy on a bike.

Relowicz laughs while giving evidence
During questioning over where and for how long Relowicz had sex with Libby for, he suddenly laughed.

Mr Wright said: “Is there something funny?”

An interpreter has said Relowicz has told him he was apologising to him for something.

Relowicz revealed they had sex near a green shed on Oak Road but he could not remember how long for.

Yes, but from the footage purporting to show his first visit to Oak Road we've only seen him turn into Beresford Avenue. Clearly there was more, but again not shown to the public.

Maybe the prosecution thought that whilst PR was ,'defending' himself on the stand he could talk him thru it?

This really is the gift that keeps giving. If only he'd realised DNA evidence stays

Relowicz says he drove off after Libby scratched his face

Relowicz says Libby started making noises as if to vomit and he stopped and helped her up and she “started crying” before “trying to kiss him” again.

He says he did not want to kiss her though as “she had some saliva in the corner of her mouth.”

Mr Wright said: “Because you didn’t want to kiss her and turned away she scratched your face is that right?”

Relowicz has confirmed that happened.

Mr Wright said: “You got in your car and drove away as she shouted at you that you shouldn’t leave her, and you drove home?

“That story, Mr Relowicz, is completely untrue isn’t it?”

Relowicz said: “It is true.”
