The police statement says they have been REarrested! And that they were originally arrested for kidnap! So no new arrests

The Havant police statement says they have REARRESTED, which makes it much clearer who it is! The news reports are just saying “arrested” which could be misleading! As there have been no new arrests (which does surprise me)

So they have re-arrested the male of the two who were arrested for kidnap on suspicion of murder. And the woman has been re-arrested for assisting an offender. Her poor mum.

Shocking but not surprising. I didn't think it would be long until they were rearrested.

I've just noticed Louise's fb profile is no longer up. I wonder if the police requested it be taken down while they investigate? They may have gleaned information from her fb messages etc.

Seems like the Police have taken a few days to weigh everything up since she was found and they'd searched the home of these two. I'd expect to hear charges later on today.

I wonder if whilst the flat was being searched they were put up in alternative accommodation...which was bugged. Therefore giving the police the evidence they needed. I know this was used in the Philpotts case

They were put in a safe house for their own protection I assume.. I just don’t know about the legality of doing this, I now they did with the Philpotts but not sure if it would stand up in court!!

Are the police allowed to bug?

Yes it's perfectly legal in the UK. Although the police are subject to the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA). Basically if it's in the public's interest regarding criminal activity then it's okay
