I agree with all you’ve said and despite a few weak reservations I believe the police are right in that Nikki fell into the river. However, as she was listening in to a Teams work meeting whilst sitting on the bench, whatever made her rush to the edge of the bank must have been something urgent. I can’t see anyone dropping everything, leaving listening in to her works meeting on account of, say, a bird or small wild animal floating in the river. It isn’t as though she could have saved it, so whatever made her rush down there must have been something more significant than just a bird or a ball.
Depends on the Teams meeting but I have about 5 a week. I’m often just listening with camera off but I would not leave phone in case I was asked a question and was not there to answer. Not a good look. Happened with a colleague recently. They were ‘at the loo’ . I suppose with Bluetooth headphones you might be able to leave device and still be able to respond.

The professional way of going about it would surely be to reach out to them in private and ask if their services can be of use? Seems a bit crass to me to be doing the media rounds basically criticising the current search and advertising your company. I follow similar groups in the US and they certainly don't act that way. They're usually extremely respectful of LE and understand they're doing the best with the resources they have.

JMO.
I must admit if he’s so adamant Nikki isn’t in the river, why is he willing to send millions of pounds worth of equipment down there with divers? <modsnip - criticizing major case player>

Is it only the friend who has released these images, or LE?

This outfit is quite unlike the one the police described, to the best of my recollection. Did NB get changed before her walk?
"She was last seen wearing an ankle-length black quilted gilet jacket, a black Engelbert Strauss waist-length coat which was worn underneath the gilet and tight-fitting black jeans.

She was also wearing long green walking socks tucked into her jeans, ankle-length green Next wellies, a necklace and a pale blue Fitbit." From Nicola Bulley: Missing mother fell in river, police believe yesterday.

Interesting this was shared by NB's friend and not the LE. I wonder why they're not working together on this, everything NB's friends post seems to be of their own accord.
Because those were harvested from her home CCTV most likely.
They provide information on what she was wearing that day.
The police accurately described what she was wearing without needing to share privately owned CCTV footage.

I would’ve thought the first thing her partner would have done is call her phone when he got the news. She must have been in range when on the bench as she was logged in to her Teams meeting.

I am getting confused with the timings and phone calls, or lack of calls. Unless the police haven’t said.

I still am curious how long Nikki took on her usual morning walks with Willow. She left home before 8:30am which has been established, dropped the girls at school and then at 08:43 was seen in the field or going to the field. She sent an email at 08:53 and joined the Teams meeting at 09:01, albeit putting herself on mute while listening in.

I know the Teams meeting ended at 09:30, by which time Nikki had vanished, but what time did her partner expect her home, I wonder? Going by myself and other dog walkers I know well, morning walks usually last about an hour. They can last for over two hours, but that’s quite rare, so I wonder if Nikki’s partner called her to see where she was.
Its a great question and something i hadnt considered, but one i think we may struggle to get answered. IMO

What would be the reason for not allowing him to search I wonder. The more help the better surely, especially as he’s openly said he will do it for free. <modsnip - not LE friendly>
They are already using plenty of under water search specialists <modsnip>. Given they said they've already done side scanning sonar, I imagine they didn't think he could offer anything they don't already have. IMO.
Those are from her home CCTV, I think.
Yes I think so. But it still achieves the aim of showing how she appeared that day. The police don't need to prove she entered the field to the public as it has no benefit to the investigation.

A source from St Michael's Angling Association said the stretch of river where Ms Bulley vanished is notorious and 'very dangerous', with a depth of about 15ft.

'The combination of the depth and how cold it is at this time of year makes it very dangerous,' he told The Times.

'I certainly would not want to fall in there and I'm a very strong swimmer.'

It is EXACTLY as the police described.
Please see transcript of presser at the beginning of this thread for reference.

I have lost count of the amount of messages I have read on here about the length of the gilet, knee length, or shin length. Releasing this as well as details on the brand/style of clothing would have been much more beneficial in triggering the publics memory.

ankle-length black quilted gilet jacket
a black Engelbert Strauss waist-length coat which was worn underneath the gilet
tight-fitting black jeans
long green walking socks tucked into her jeans
ankle-length green Next wellies

I'm seeing blue jeans and a blue coat here. No ankle length gilet. Maybe this is the black ankle length gilet, in which case, it's not what I imagined. Do CCTV images distort colours? The footwear looks correct.

I'm labouring it only because my theory is NB stepping on the hem of that length garment, and stumbling next to the river, which looks less likely now.

I don’t know, I suppose many factors would depend on this but below is a screen grab of one of her strava routes which is the same route albeit a bit further along from the school as a starting point. 37 minutes that day. She was on a conference call on the day of her disappearance of course so what is usually a brisk walk could be slowed down by this, JMO.

In regards to the phone call, we simply do not know. Common sense would say no as her phone was found at/on/near bench but that would depend if PA was told this when whoever it was contacted him, he may well have especially if she had 2 phones, one for work and one personal but as the police has not mentioned NB as having another phone (certainly not on her person) I assume she only had the one on her that particular day. And i am not really sure how it is relevant to any of this. He may well have phoned her before receiving the call to say the dog was left unattended and this was his reason for reacting quickly and was worried as she would usually be home.
Thank you for the screenshot.

So going by that, and if that was her usual routine, she would have walked Willow for around an hour max? Which means she should have arrived home by approximately 10:00 hours.

I’m just wondering if her partner called her to ask where she was, but maybe he did?

He did phone the police quickly after it was established she was missing, which suggests he was extremely worried, so I’d imagine he would have also tried calling her if she was late returning from the walk. Perhaps he did?

It is interesting that the friends/family decided to release CCTV themselves. I wonder if this was with the approval of LE or off their own back. It's quite understandable the family want to get as much info out there as possible, just on any chance it jogs someone's memory. What would be LEs reason for not already doing this?

ETA: Did she change coat perhaps before the walk? If so, I can understand why LE haven't released these images, but do they not have images of her in the clothing from the description they gave?
