I find it so wierd, that the description given of what she was wearing, was an ankle length coat. So that on Friday when all the helpers was on roads, trying to jog peoples memory of whether they saw her the week before, had an incorrect description.
In fact I'm quite shocked that this footage was not shown earlier, and also that the police virtually decided from day one that she fell in the river,.

Have the police confirmed that the door footage is what she was wearing ?

There's no reason to think that they've given incorrect information is there? The friends and family haven't contradicted them as far as I've read - do you have a link?

Glad the river is being searched with new equipment. I've got no idea where NB could be, but the big questions in my mind (maybe these have been answered or asked before, I've lost some of the plot) are:
  • How well behaved is the dog - ie does he ever run off, disappear, or does NB ever lose sight of him? Done it myself on dog walks, particularly when on phone - realised that well-behaved elderly dog was nowhere in sight just because he likes doing his own thing and I wasn't watching and I've had to dash off to look for him in a panic - sometimes in the direction I guessed he might go.
  • Why was the person who found phone/lead/dog in that place? It has been said that they were on their way to a meeting. Did they go on foot, was it on their way, were they walking a dog?
  • <modsnip>

Im not 100% but the car appears to be a Mercedes GLE from the exhaust pipes and rear reflector location. They certainly come in dark blue and black.

I think the coat we see her in is dark blue. The black gilet described by police is seen in the other photos shared of her from social media I believe.
If that is the case, you have to wonder why LE haven't released footage of what she was actually wearing on the walk then? I get LE think she went in the water, but surely putting out some images couldn't harm anything. Maybe the footage they picked up later is of very poor quality?

I have never discounted the fact that NB might haven fallen into the river. But …… One scenario which has been playing in my mind is that perhaps it wasn’t accidental.

Let me put it this way ….. Like what had occurred a few times in London tube stations. One person with MH issue who pushed a random stranger onto the railway track/ oncoming train.

Hence, I’ve always warned my son not to stand too close to the yellow line whilst waiting for his train. If possible, make sure that your back is against the wall.

Now, what’s the likelihood of that???
I’d say very unlikely, but for what happened to me - on a street not near a river. I was walking pushing my child in a pushchair and a large man came from behind me ii didn’t see him until it happened and pushed me and kicked the back of the pushchair very hard. Thank God for the cross metal rods at the back of said pushchair. It was July and he was wearing a very padded coat. It turned out he had severe mental health issues and he was not prosecuted. It shook me.

I agree. Coat not ankle length. Also It makes a difference because I did think gosh she’d have no chance in the water wearing that and wellies filling with water but coat looks manageable and wellies look snug

The doorbell showing Nicolas outfit:

Coat doesn’t look ankle length as police mentioned and that it would be unmanageable plus wellies don’t look wide around the top so they fill will water

That coat looks like she wears it open. Wouldn’t it have come off in water by now? Where are her car keys? Again would they not be found by now.
Good point re car keys

Glad some sort of image has been shared of NB - I notice these are stills so assume from CCTV/doorbell camera at her house. It may just jog someone’s memory, the right person, to locate her.

I have a ring doorbell camera and honestly I really don’t look the same as how I look when I look in a mirror, also the colours of my clothing are almost always off. This is a long gilet with hood, defo not ankle length but long all the same. If it’s anything like the gilet I have it does not have zip pockets so it may be that her car keys are in the inner jacket pocket, zipped. JMO.

I have no link, that footage has just been released, and it says it was the morning she disappeared, it's on a previous post

She may have had the keys in a pocket, in which case, they may still be in a pocket or if she went in the river, lost in the river bottom.

'Author and former soldier Chris Ryan, who goes by ChrisRyanMM and was a member of the British Army's elite SAS squadron for a decade, also highlighted the struggles Nicola would have faced if she did fall in the water.
During my SAS service I was part of three missions involving river falls and sadly, people can underestimate the power of water along with the dangers of an unstable riverbank,' he told MailOnline.

Collapses aren't always predictable, so the surprise will often dictate the way in which a person enters the water, for example head first. Then consider several other factors like shock, undercurrents, debris and clothing.

'A grown adult can be swept away in as little as 17 inches of fast flowing water. Then consider a swollen and fast flowing river with a lot of loose debris. If a person falls into a river, their clothes will absorb the water and that extra weight would make swimming or staying above the surface very difficult.'

Its a great question and something i hadnt considered, but one i think we may struggle to get answered. IMO
Great point and something I only just realised today, I am still confused by the timeline and timings myself, the police time line goes from 9:35 to 10:50 …that’s over an hour. what exactly was happening in that time. Was Paul down there soon after 9:35 and searching himself? We’re the police called and it took them until 10:50 to send an officer or team out? Or did it take the dog walkers from 9:30 to 10:50 to finally get the call across to Paul that the dog was alone and Nikkis phone was left there.

The fact the woman who first tied up willow has been omitted from the official time has really confused me also. It does not make sense why she is not included and at what time she found the dog and tied her up, she was the first person to realise something was amiss. The police are focused on a ‘10 minute window’ between the last sighting in the field and the phone+dog being found at the bench. but very little to explain what was happening at the bench/river between 9:35 and 10:50.

Depends on the Teams meeting but I have about 5 a week. I’m often just listening with camera off but I would not leave phone in case I was asked a question and was not there to answer. Not a good look. Happened with a colleague recently. They were ‘at the loo’ . I suppose with Bluetooth headphones you might be able to leave device and still be able to respond.
Exactly.

<modsnip - no source link for info stated as fact> I can’t see her dropping everything when in a Teams meeting on account of a field mouse or ball Williw may have found.
