No, some were, some weren't and I think two babies were originally twins but the other twin had been lost during the pregnancy.

Not all but a disproportionate amount compared to what one might expect. I think twins make up about 10 percent of the NICU population but in this case over 60 percent had a link to a multiple birth.

With any kind of workplace grievance you're normally allowed to take either a colleague or union rep in with you. I've never heard of anybody taking their parents in with them.

I guess the whole campaign against the hospital and Trust were orchestrated by her indignant parents.

Parents for whom their "perfect daughter"
(who was the 1st to enter University and follow "dream career")
could do NO wrong.

For me, she always looked somehow passive.

Not that I blame them, mind you!
They are parents.
And they fight for their child.
As all parents usually do.
I see it every day at school

Baby Q had a twin that was growing outside of the womb. I vaguely remember it being reported that another baby had a twin who had died in the womb but it may have just been somebody referring to Baby Q's twin in that way.

Oh, I didn’t realise they could choose not to attend the entire trial.

They can and that choice must be respected as regards a person who is not guilty until the jury returns a verdict. Its crazy that a convicted murderer cannot be compelled to attend.

I've been wondering. Did LL set out on her career with good intentions?
I wonder if she was inadvertently negligent over one infant (maybe towards the start of her career), and rather than speak up and admit her mistake, she panicked and could see her career and reputation going down the pan so kept quiet.
But then when she may have experienced sympathy and attention etc over the loss of a baby, she experienced an unexpected thrill? This could have been a trigger for her?
Gave her a sense of power, which she may not have experienced before to that degree.

Its crazy that a convicted murderer cannot be compelled to attend.

Court is the place of the utmost solemnity.

Sometimes, during the sentencing emotions run high.
Some people from public gallery shout obscenities at a defendant, or a defendant behaves in a vulgar way.

I remember that during sentencing in American Court, family of victims attacked physically a defendant and a fight started.

So
To prevent a Court resembling a circus, nobody who is unwilling can be forced to attend.

But I agree that it takes courage to take the sentence with dignity and remorse.

But let's be real,
these are criminals.

If they want to stay cowering in their cells, let them.
Good riddance!!!!!

At first I felt sorry for Lucy Letby, but by the end of the trial I saw her for the murderer she is

It was difficult to accept that she could have done what she was accused of until the lengthy cross-examination started

I think she thought her dad would take care of getting rid of the notes, as he’d probably been successfully clearing up her messes her whole life.
