This move should tell Prince Charles and Prince William that Her Majesty, The Queen wants Prince Andrew's company and support at an important function for her. They both get something out of it. This sort of thing isn't unusual with a frail elderly person who relies on one child more than the others for companionship and a trusty person to assist. Clearly, neither Prince Charles nor Prince William are in a position to be her chauffeur/ assistant and perhaps Prince Edward is just not as close to his mother.

Royal Lodge—explore the Windsor family home where Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson live

He lives only 5 miles from the queen.
  • Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's home is Royal Lodge, located in Windsor.
  • The home is a Grade II listed building in the Windsor Great Park, just five miles from Windsor Castle, where the Queen now resides primarily.

Home, sweet home :)

The Cambridges Windsor Move Is Because of Prince Andrew

Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Moving to Windsor ASAP as Royals Fear the Queen Is Too Close to Andrew

Prince Andrew lives next door to the Queen and the Cambridges aren't having it.

So...why the move? Aside from wanting to be closer to the Queen, there are reportedly concerns amongst the royals that Her Majesty is spending too much time with her disgraced son Prince Andrew—who lives right next to her.

It is nice to have so many houses to change when the need arises.
Oh, and not to worry about cleaning them :)
Off to go to clean windows before Easter, the whole family is visiting :)

Well, after all, he wasn't found "guilty".. So, he should continue as usual. Of course.

And stay very close to his mother, the Queen. o_O

How does anyone negotiate a 75 year lease on a mansion, for one million dollars?

Umm...there are 31 bedrooms...why can't they share the mansion?

It seems that the Queen pretty much does what she wants. And it is obvious that she wanted PA front and center with her. The optics were very bad, INMO.

It will be interesting how Prince Charles and Prince William can manage the Queen.
With Royal optics are eccential. Home and abroad optics should be monitored a little better.

Well, it is good to be Queen. The Queen has seen a lot in the 70 years she has been on the throne. IMO she carries the stiff upper lip tradition that she was brought up with. Elizabeth never expected to be queen until her uncle abdicated and her father died. Unfortunately, she has not been able to adapt and adjust to all of the changing times with the expansion of the royals. Not that she has had a bad life but she bought into the idea of everything proper. Her family seems to want more control of their lives. However, Andrew (reportedly) is he favorite child. IMO he did the big payout instead of going to court because of the Queen's 70th jubilee. It was not her shining moment by choosing to wave Andrew front and center in a jubilee event. At some point, the Brits might question the value of a monarchy. Many countries have royal families but England gets the most press.

Just as I said earlier.
However, I should add, he will not be stripped of them while the Queen is alive.

it would take an act of Parliament to strip him of his title.

Not sure if Charles will instigate that or not.

there is certainly no love lost between them and I’m sure Charles sees Andrew as problematic.

but no matter what does/does not happen, Andrew will always be an historical figure and the second son of Elizabeth the Second.

Does this title mean some monetary gratifications or is it only honorary one?
