I believe it was the police officer who made that remark Prime

Proceedings have finished for today in the #beckywatts murder trial, they'll continue tomorrow.

I think this confusion stems from the fact that Becky's mum didn't know Beck had been home initially, and was concerned about her not having been home.

So police initially believed that she hadn't been since since the night before, when she stayed at a friends. They, and we, now know different.

Do you mean Becky's step mother ? I am fairly sure it was reported, back then, that she - AG - stated that Becky came home early on the morning of Feb 19 - the father of the friend who Becky had stayed over with the night before gave her a lift home. AG said Becky came in and went upstairs to have a shower....and when asked how she was AG said something along the lines of a bit moody, typical teenager.
Also am fairly sure AG said Becky was in the house when she, AG, departed, about 11.15am to the hospital.

Interestingly, and maybe I'd overlooked it before by NM has pleaded guilty to possessing the stun guns. Looks like he's willing to take the rap for all of this

I also had not realised that until the other day when I read the full list of who is pleading what

SH police interview

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ing-Becky-Watts-laughed-police-interview.html

After watching this, I thought SH had a mature demeanor and way of talking, compared to me at that age. :p

Quite convincing, she reminded me of Maxine Carr, using her hands a lot and matter of fact speaking.

Trial finished for the day resumes 2pm tomorrow. I must say this trial seems to be like walking through treacle..

Agreed, and it's also hard to believe that NM would've taken the risk of telling four other people what he'd done. He seems to have gone to a lot of trouble to disguise the fact he was hiding a body - it isn't as if he gave them a suspiciously heavy suitcase to look after.

I wonder how long there was between NM's arrest and the other four being arrested - how much time did they have to go to the police? From memory I thought it all happened on the same night, though there might've been rumours of NM's involvement beforehand. I'd guess that it was when they first knew NM was suspected of Becky's murder that they realized what they were hiding (not necessarily when they found out Becky was missing).

NM and SH were arrested on the Saturday I believe on suspicion of kidnapping. Monday they were arrested on murder, Tuesday the others were arrested. NM and SH were formally charged on the Wednesday. I'm not sure when the others were charged.

Anyone here recall it being reported then that the arrests of NM and SH came after a "tip off" to police?

Not sure if the tip off was ever verified or was speculation but I do remember us discussing it

Here it is -

The 16-year-old went missing in February. Officers investigating her disappearance discovered her body parts in a house in Barton Hill, Bristol following a tip-off.

If correct then we know who didn't make the tip off - NM,SH,DD and JI didn't. JP said she was contemplating calling police so it wasn't her - that leaves KD or another person..I'm betting on the latter

I'm really starting to wonder exactly what SH knew about what went on in RWs actual house. Somethings niggling at me, can't quite put my finger on it. I'm not sure I'm buying that NM put RWs body in the boot of the car without SH knowing but equally I don't think SH was in the room with him when he killed RW. The whole things really puzzling me, their demeanour afterwards, especially hers, as a mum with her child present in the house when this took place. And I don't buy NMs mask story.

Aplogies for rambling just need to put my thoughts out there!

Is it possible SH didn't know what had happened until they got home? Hard as it may be to believe

Am getting confused now ? which tip off are we talking about - NM/SH arrested or the tip off re the whereabouts of Becky's body ?

I thought NM told the police where to find Becky's body on the Monday ( hence his charge being upped to murder ) and that was why the police went round there Monday night ? but I could have read it wrong and perhaps someone else did the initial tip off ?

I think SH was in on the whole thing - whether that can be proven ( if it is true ) is quite another matter.
I agree with you re the mask - I dont believe that part for one minute. I think he got the idea of saying he had been wearing a mask when he bought the safety masks to use with his circular saw.

You are right it was reported that there had been a tip off..it has since been revealed that NM told police where to find Becky so thinking about it, he must be the tip off

I don't think we'll ever know what happened at that house on that morning. There's so many truths and half truths it's unlikely the full story will ever come out.

I too think SH is as guilty as he is, as you say it's proving it, especially when NM is shouldering all the blame

I was very grateful for the police interview video, so much easier to understand the situation than reading the updates (though I am enormously grateful for those too).

To me SH came across in a way I hadn't expected. Left me almost wondering about her part in this. She seemed so controlled, casual and ordinary in the video, just as if she was speaking of something mundane.
Then I remember that she had a dead body in her bath for a few days, the smell, the noise of that circular saw, the packaging....... and this is how she reacts - unbelievable.

From the video I could almost believe that if she knew NM was intending to kidnap RW, that excuses the bumping on the stairs of a probably unconcious RW. Later NM then tells her RW died in the car? Idk, is that possible? That could have been a good defence I think.

I am on noone's side, I do ramble in my thoughts though. I just think of her there with her two year old, and just fail to understand what goes through these people's minds.
