"A woman who went missing while walking home in south London had made the journey “many times before” and her disappearance is completely out of character, family members have said."

".....spoke to her boyfriend on the phone for about 15 minutes and made plans to meet the next day but never showed up......................
When she didn’t show up [to meet her boyfriend], he then spoke to the family and the alarm was raised at that point because it was so out of character for her not to be in touch with anybody, friends or family.”

“If someone is holding her against her will I would plead with them just to be human and to let her come home, to let her talk to us, give us a ring or text to let us know she is OK," said her uncle told The Sun.

“These are desperate times for the family. We know the police are doing everything they can but it's the not knowing what has happened after four days is agonising.”

Sarah's York Uni professor dad Jeremy, her mum, sister Katie and brother James joined the search for the marketing manager in Clapham, south London.

“My brother and sister-in-law are beside themselves with worry," said Mr Everard, a building company director and father-of-four who lives in Coventry.

"They’re doing everything they can to help find her and have been walking her last known journey.

'AGONISING'
He described Sarah as a "bright young woman, very sensible" who had lived in London "for a long time so I imagine was very streetwise".

“She didn't have any troubles and was fit and healthy. She was happy, she had just started a new job and she had a boyfriend," he said.

“She is a lovely person. She would never just take time out without contacting her family. It would be completely out of character.

“Her mobile phone is not ringing and she’s not received any WhatsApp messages we’ve been sending her."

Police have been searching ponds in Clapham Common in a bid to find the missing marketing manager, who should have arrived back home in Brixton shortly before 10pm.''

A series of local worrying incidents has left locals wondering is there a possible connection between these incidents and the disappearance of Sarah Everard last Wednesday evening?

This has been posted on one of the local social media sites:

There has been a pattern of very worrying incidents in the last few months before Sarah Everard's disappearance, and apart from the Tooting Common sexual assault, all happened on or within 100 metres of the route Sarah would have taken on 3rd March:

1) October 2020, man came out of grounds of St Matthew's Church, Brixton Hill at around 10 pm and tried to get a passing lady to come into the grounds with him. When she wouldn't, he started following her saying he would come with her then, whilst making threatening comments to her. She ran away. She says description of man matches that of man in incident 5) below

2) 16.11.20 a young woman was sexually assaulted in the woodland area of Tooting Common in Broad daylight at 4 pm, by 6 ft tall man in brown leather jacket https://tooting.nub.news/n/woman-left-t ... 1605620479

3) Sexual assault of a young lady on 14.1.21 on Hydethorpe Rd at junction with Radbourne Rd viewtopic.php?f=197&t=118216&sid=900541 ... e12d949ff9

4) On 2.2.21 lady was chased by a man outside Palace Road surgery on Christchurch Rd

5) On around 21.2.21, a 14 year old girl on Rodenhurst Rd was followed by man in a van. Man in green camouflage-style hoodie, medium build, 20s or 30s, black.

UK - UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London - Clapham Common area, 3 March 2021

Detectives hunting for a missing marketing executive were expanding their search today as investigators admitted that she appeared to have “disappeared into thin air”.

Ms Everard, 33, was believed to be heading to her Brixtonflat after leaving Leathwaite Road at around 9pm, with the video showing her in Poynders Road. Investigators believe she took the busy A-road because it would have been believed to be safer than quieter back routes.

Police have searched Clapham Common where they believe she walked through but were today concentrating the hunt further towards Brixton and around Tulse Hill, with officers carrying out house-to-house inquiries.

A source close to the investigation said: “It’s like she just disappeared into thin air (after the last CCTV sighting). We think she went up Poynders Road because it’s usually busy and safer than the back routes.”

The cousin of missing Sarah Everard has thanked Londoners for their help in searching for her, but is urging everyone to continue with the desperate bid to find her.

Tom Everard, a 36-year-old social worker in Greater Manchester, had nothing but lovely words to say about his 33-year-old cousin, who vanished while walking home to Brixton after visiting a friend at their home in Clapham on Wednesday night (March 3).

'Really frightening'
Speaking to MyLondon on (Monday, March 8), Tom said: "Sarah's absolutely amazing, she's lovely and she's fantastic. So sensible. So well-loved by her family, by her friends, by everyone.

"There is nothing dodgy or sordid about Sarah in the slightest. And this is so totally out of character for her that we just need to get her home.

"We can't imagine any scenario where she doesn't get back home safe last Wednesday night (March 3). She obviously hasn't, so we are desperately worried about her. Desperately concerned for her welfare. We just want as much information out there as possible.

"It's five days since she vanished into thin air...and that's really frightening."
