Cops warn don't go out alone, as sensible advise to me! same as lock your doors if you dont want to be burgled, its common sense imo but also if they think there is an active killer on the loose they have a duty surely to warn the public?

There's no evidence that there's an 'active killer' on the loose.

These types of headlines from tabloids are meant to sensationalise the story, especially as LE has said nothing of the sort!

What I find worrying is that they are announcing that now. It's almost seems like they've now ran out of leads for it being someone she knows being involved and still don't have a clear idea what has happened.

LE had mentioned they were looking for the 2 people on the CCTV:

One is walking a moderate size dog that looks black and white

The other is carrying a white bag, possibly a white plastic grocery bag, but they also mentioned a white satchel

My guess is that these people have already been in contact with and interviewed by LE so there is no need to further ask for them

Do you have a source for this? TIA!

Ah, where was that? Link?

Are you in the US, Herat, as noticed you use LE term, which is not really a term we see here - except on WS!

Someone local to the area on Twitter has posted videos of Poynders Road being searched by police today. So far they've searched Clapham Common, Tooting Common, Agnes Riley Gardens and Poynders Parade.

The Met have also confirmed that the hat they found does not belong to Sarah and has nothing to do with the case.

Those sound like the people in the tfl videos that were shared on the first thread, I haven't seen a link but the description fits

I think the videos were later blocked by the police

the paper quoted people who said the police had told them to be more vigilent and be careful when going out

In the UK they drive on the left hand side, so actually she is walking against the traffic if walking on the right hand side, which leads in the opposite direction of her home. It's possible she felt more comfortable here as it avoids walking beside Clapham Park Estate. She may have been spotted on the doorbell CCTV on the left hand side of the road, we aren't sure yet.

Sorry my post wasn't clear I will go back and edit. I'm from the UK :)

I meant on the correct side of the road to be picked up by someone driving from the Brixton Hill area...

as far as i can see there are no "fresh" images in this article at all.

No, that was just the heading.

My interest was more in that the last doorbell footage showed her on phone, but not able yo ascertain whether on phone to bf. Another call straight after to someone might cast a whole different light on things.

I have never heard about it. I might look into some kind of alarms. Thanks for that
I have a story about alarms.

I live on a moderately-busy street in a small town. I have a commercial home alarm system with cameras. One day I was upstairs with the balcony door open (I couldnt be seen from the street) and a car drove up and a couple of strange men got out. The car had one of those magnetic business placards for mobile car washing. One of the guys walks up to my front porch and the other one calls out to him "there's a camera, lets get out of here" plainly enough that I could hear it. They both quickly get in the car and immediately leave the neighborhood. Now that camera would not have been visible to the guy first fellow walking to the front door, but I think the other guy was on lookout and checking out the place.

I have been forever grateful that I put that alarm system in, because not only does it alarm for a break-in, or unwarranted entry, but it clearly is a deterrent to experienced criminals.

My fear would be someone with a more calculated mindset would perhaps transfer her South out towards the M25 where it is a lot more rural.

It doesn't feel like they have a solid idea based on the amount of locations being searched.

Can you add a link for that, please :)

Was reported in my MSM post above.

Here again:

A hat found on Clapham Common similar to the one Sarah Everard was wearing when she was last seen on Wednesday evening is not believed to be linked to her disappearance.

The cream wool hat, discovered in a bush by a passer-by at about 11am on Monday, appeared to be similar to the one worn by the 33-year-old in CCTV footage released by detectives in a public appeal.

However the Metropolitan Police later said it did not believe it was linked to missing Ms Everard, who was last seen near the common in south London.

I assumed that was the journalist mistakenly thinking the Sainsbury’s CCTV image was the doorbell cam image and so describing that? Rather than there having been confirmation Sarah was on the phone on the doorbell cam. Does that make sense?!

Also, IMO, in the Sainsbury’s image she might have her hand up to put her mask on to enter the shop rather than be on the phone. Not that that is relevant to anything really.
