Yes! Because when a president or former president has come to the city where I live Secret Service members are positioned on each rooftop.

Same experiece. Working at a university, we get a lot of politicians campaigning for the presidency and/or vice presidency. The Secret Service detail always has SS positioned on the rooftops of all buildings on campus in the proximity of the rally area. When Biden came to our university when he was first running for the vice presidency, he wanted the rally to take place outside in the early evening. At dusk, as the sun went down, you could see the silhouettes of all the SS agents positioned on the top of the buildings.

As an editor, I can say that while the messages are nice, the whole thing is pretty awkwardly written. Sounds like it was written by AI, or that it was translated to English.

I’d think she’d have better writers, but maybe she doesn’t care so much about her statements sounding perfect.

I actually thought this made her message sound more authentic.
Melania is Slovenian by birth and English could well be her fourth or fifth language.
I don’t think it sounds like AI at all but like a highly eloquent person who is writing in her non-native language without editors picking her words apart.
I found it charming that Melania’s words could well be her very own with little (if any) correction for minor grammatical issues.
It sounds like these were her own heartfelt words.

Even if he didn’t share his ideas, his search history will help investigators get into his head. I think it’ll show an element of planning, and hopefully give some idea as to what his motive was.

I'm not buying this at all. The police snipers on the roof wore all black with police in white across their uniforms. There are pictures of them all over this thread. Also, local upper-level police are often trained by the FBI. I know those in my city have FBI training and many have military training. I suspect their "snipers" were well trained and would not have dressed like this.

English is a second (or third or fourth) language for Melania. Regardless of the grammer, her message is insightful and powerful. She wouldn't use AI, she is very hands on with her statements and expressions which are rare but well thought out. If a speechwriter helped her with the speech, Melania would have worked very closely with her and made sure that her message was stated accurately and with Melania's own style and tone.

Possibly. The normal thing, if you initially fail a test, is to practice more and try again. Not bottle it up as a grudge and then much later, take it out on everyone else. IMO, 'grievance collectors' may be starting younger and younger.

The point of terrorists is to terrify and paralyze a country into hiding, scared of their own shadows.

Sorry, I should clarify: I do not think it’s a bad thing that it’s not perfectly polished; I encourage clients to write using their own voice because it’s more honest and approachable. I didn’t notice any glaring errors — only some offbeat syntax, which isn’t necessarily wrong.

Anyway, I merely meant to make an observation; I didn’t intend to steer this so off topic.
