The law suit was filed in 2003, a long time before a lot of crucial evidence came to light. The photos of the AVV site, ect. Also the complaint also charged that Amy was abducted from the ship "Rhapsody of the Seas." The lawsuit stated that Amy was abducted, hidden and then forcibly removed from the ship when it docked in Puerto Rico. This by the way, is no longer believed to accurate. The entire court case was dismissed with prejudice by the judge. This means that they can't ever appeal. Royal Caribbean charged that Iva and Ron committed fraud in their depositions when they didn't reveal the names of the people who had seen Amy happily adjusted and living in the Caribbean. Meanwhile, Iva and Ron didn't have names of anyone who had seen Amy happily adjusted. Royal Caribbean came up with about 100 names. The whole thing was bogus and a tactic by Royal Caribbean attorneys.

WHY?Why is that no longer believed to be accurate?
Why Was Porto Rico mentioned?

Ok, now I'm really confused. Could you clarify ? Regarding the bolded in your quote ? TIA :)

ETA: So is it possible that Amy had reasons of her own that she felt she needed to leave and live in obscurity forever ? Very odd, but not 100% impossible. What is your take on that Murkywaters ? Again, TIA. :seeya:

Huh? Please explain..................TIA!

Oh sorry, I should have explained

I was appalled at my spelling above but it was to late to edit

Again.. sorry for the confusion

The lawsuit stated that Amy was abducted, hidden and then forcibly removed from the ship when it docked in Puerto Rico. This is no longer belied to have been what happened. There is a lot of things the Bradley's used to believe up until 2005 that they no longer believe due to new information that has surfaced over the years. The reason they stated this in the lawsuit is because there was a sighting of a man that claimed on March 28, Amy was was shoved into a waiting Taxi cab at Peurto rico, This sighting has been proved to be impossible. Amy could not have been hidden on the ship for all that time.

Anyway, I do not at all believe Amy chose to disappear on her own free will. Or that she somehow felt she needed to leave. Amy had just graduated from college, had a new apartment, She just moved in a month before and she would have begun a second job working part-time with a computer company her aunt and uncle owned when she came home. She had just got a English bulldog she always wanted. And planned to pick it up on sunday when she returned. There's no reason Amy would want to disappear IMO.

Here are some postcards Amy sent home to friends.

She was spotted in Curacao, where did PR come from. ?

Amy was spotted by a taxi driver in Curacao acting frantic just minutes after the ship docked. She asked him where a phone was. The PR sighting was a completely different one. It has been ruled out.

Just to clarify more, when the verified insider was posting, he said that the cab driver sighting mentioned in Beth Holloway's show Vanished had also been discounted. I believe that is the Curacao taxi. So both taxi sightings have been discounted. If this is wrong, please correct me.

Thanks, MW, just trying to clarify, I've never believed that Amy left on her own either. Also, as Amy disappeared on March 24, and the Puerto Rico sighting was March 28, is it not possible she had been moved and was in PR by that time ? Just wondering now how that sighting was ruled out, I will have to go back and look to see if there was a verified sighting of her at another location on the 28th, as offhand I don't recall.

Yes, you are correct. [modsnip] Amy would have passed police officers and customs officials before approaching the cab driver. It is believed now he cab driver was either very much mistaken or perhaps on a payroll to distort information about the case. I remember this is why the VI was disappointed in the Vanished program.

I'm curious as to what led the family to believe that she was seen in Puerto Rico and what led them to stop believing this sighting. I'm in agreement with the point about the customs agents. Surely she would have had to exit through some sort of customs point since she was in a new country?

There's no way the Puerto Rico sighting could have happened. A cab driver in Puerto Rico said that a man in cowboy boots was dragging Amy off of the ship and into a waiting cab. Based on the information we now know, that taxi driver's story was completely impossible. Amy was discovered missing when the ship docked in Curacao. The FBI did a complete search of the ship. With canines you name it ect, If Amy was hidden somewhere on the ship they would have found her.

Thanks, MW. So I guess one question I can think of is, what exactly is this man's involvement with Amy ? She purportedly wasn't taken for the sex trade specifically, so other than the sex industry, what else is he involved in ? Do you know if this information is known ? TIA

He is a handler as far as i know. He worked for Affordable Adult Vacations as the pictures confirms which links him to Amy. And he still hasn't been arrested just yet. Anyway it has been stated that Amy is being used as a mule in several very illegal activities. What exactly she is smuggling, we don't know. However it is clearly very lucrative. There are more people involved in this case than just him and Alister Douglas. The FBI has everything and the Bradley's and investigators have more. The Justice Department apparently has enough information to make arrests. They know who these people are and where they are today. I believe it's a just a matter of time before Amy is found and these scumbags get captured.

That picture lists a different resort than the AAV resort. It says "adult vacation getaway". What is that resort? Is it connected to AAV? Do you have a name for this guy?

If he's a handler, then I just have to giggle. He looks like a slob, IMO. Definitely not a tough criminal.

AAV changed to adult vacation getaway. I have the specifics like when and who changes it at home, not in front of me. I can get them in a bit.

That picture is very interesting. When this thread was still closed a few months ago, I delved into the dark side of the internet and REALLY researched all of these escort services. It wasn't pretty. I found a few other things that I didn't see mentioned here before. So I enquired about getting this thread reopened which it did. I hope wherever Amy is, she's safe, warm, and had a full stomach.

Would you mind sharing what you found?

I found a page on the wayback machine that showed "Jas" picture but was under the name "exotica". I'll post it once I censor it. Also I found that Jas was being advertised a lot longer than we originally thought.
